My boy was driving the boat when we heard the thud on the hull, we stopped and looked around and saw nothing. When we took back off the boat was surging, the rudder acted funny, and it wouldn't plane out. Always expecting the worst I'm thinking prop or rudder damage, tranny, who knows. We head for the trailer, still won't plane out so we putter back. Had my son try his hand at getting on the trailer, a little crooked on the first attempt but gets it on the second. It was dark by then but I looked at the prop and all and did not see this, so we head home 2 miles away. This thing stayed on through all that and came off with just a tug. It was dead center, I measured it, and perpendicular to the fin. Amazing!

haha yikes! We dead center split a Folgers coffee plastic container once with an alpha one. Swore we blew out the drive hub. It would move at a decent speed but too much speed and it was like the boat came out of the water. man they do sharpen those tracking fins to a razor sharp finish, even on the Gs.... alway wondered if that was really necessary on 5-7000lb boats that spend 90% of their life under 35mph.2019 G23 450

I did almost the same except somehow the log managed to get wedged between the first and second fin. No pics as because I was on the lake and had to swim under boat and pull it loose. Happened with my 95 SN.Comment
