    More bow weight?

I have an 08 210. With the factory ballast full, and the wake plate at "wakeboard" the boat seems to surge really bad when going through rollers. If you adjust to the slalom setting it does not as much, but the wake does not have as much peak. Do I need more weight up front to over come this surging?

More weight in the bow might help but the problem could be your Zero Off antennae. Check out this thread for more info:

Yep you've prob got the crappy round puck. Works ok with just factory ballast but anything over u get the porpoise effect pretty bad.

Do yourself a huge favor and call dealer and ask what they will charge u to put in the newer antenna and software update. Hopefully not more than $500.
It will be the best money u spend on your boat! U will enjoy it so much more after this update.

Hope i dont sound rude but you state "when going through rollers" you mean large waves correct?

If so our boat porpoises when going through large rollers as well with ballast full. If you add a bunch of bow weight and hit large rollers theres a chance it could go through the wave rather than over it. Ive experienced this but not at a very fast speed and reminds me of a tilde wave and shocked my wife and I. Boat was ok but everything ion the bow was soaked.

I agree as well that the antennae needs updated as well as the software. Hope i helped

Not rude at all. Just was seeing if anyone could steer me in the right direction. All signs point to the antenna if I want to use the perfect pass.

If the issue is (1) the boat continues to porpoise for a bit when weighted beyond stock and after going through rollers, and/or (2) it occasionally starts to porpoise with no meaningful rollers, then your best bet is to change out the antenna. I used to put the hydrogate down to settle the boat after going through rollers--with the new antenna, I don't give it any thought as the boat now behaves as all my past boats have.

Replacing the antenna is easy--it just plugs in. But you also have to update the software in your unit. Zero Off was doing that for free if you sent them the unit. I don't know if that's the case any more.
