    Surfed NSS today

I weigh 155 and surf it all of the time . Like I said it's not a 50 foot wave but it's very clean and has great push. It's factory ballast with NSS. It takes me less than 15 minutes to get setup and can switch sides in a matter of seconds and were very happy with it. I don't have to pump the board at all unless I want to drop back and purposefully do it. Now if you weigh 250 pounds and surfing an actual surf board from the ocean I'm sure it wouldn't work for you.

And if your not satisfied with a 14 with pro ballast and NSS then I suggest either a new board or trying a different technique. It's a killer wave as I've tried it. But we didn't want to lose our storage.

I started this thread to show what the NSS does with 100% stock ballast. I was shocked when we tested it. I'm used to filling fat sacs , tsunami pumps, lead etc.. And frankly surfing isn't our priority so I wanted an easy way to enjoy this sport when were tired of boarding. It works incredible and it's a great wave. The pro ballast and NSS is sick!!!

Do you happen to have a picture of your listed wake?

I have the 2013 210 with NSS. Surfed it listed with close to 2k lbs ballast without NSS... It's a good wave but if I use opposite side weight and NSS... wave is amazing, more shape adjustment, more length and way more push. We just had a pro wakesurfer in town for a wakesurf camp and he was blown away with what our 210 was producing for a wave! BTW, we use way more than just stock ballast. Probably surf with 2k lbs of ballast and slight list for best wave. Haven't tried the 2014 yet but have seen the wave and it looked nice with pro ballast.

Here's my comparison between my 2012 230 without NSS and my 2014 with NSS and pro ballast sacs swapped out for 550 lb sacs.

              2012 230 Setup:
              - Full stock ballast
              - 750 lb fat sac in rear locker
              - 550 lb sac where bow filler cushion would typically be
              - 550 lb sac on observer seat
              - 750 lb sac on rear port side seat
              - Hydrogate at 1
              - Speed 11.5 mph

              2014 230 Setup:
              - Full stock Ballast
              - Piggybacked 550 lb sacs in rear compartments
              - Hydrogate at 1
              - NSS at 0 or 5 (depending whether you want length or height respectively)
              - Speed 11 mph

The 2014 kills the 2012 setup hands down. Oh yeah, and it also takes a fourth of the time for the sacs to fill. Just push a button and wait vs dealing with multiple sacs and tsunami pumps.

The only thing that would make this better is if I swapped the 550s for 750s in the rear compartments.

Sorry, I don't have pics now. I have video but im too stupid to know how to post a link. I will add this though: The wakeboarding wake was pretty impressive. As usual, fit and finish were unsurpassed and the extra elbow room was nice compared to my boat. My problem with the wave was I kept falling out the back. I'm 5'-10" 195 lbs and ride a large Victoria PCX. I've been surfing for 9 years now. I just thought the wave was not tall enough or had enough push and i couldn't get back very far at all without having to pump super hard. -And lucky, your wife's arms are ripped!
