How do Gen 2 surf tabs work?

I'm pretty sure I understand the basic principles involved with NSS and SG. I don't really understand the Gen 2 system that MC uses. The waves look decent and clearly it gives the ability for the boat to be evenly weighted and to switch sides on the fly. If they aren't using delayed convergence...how does it work? Any thoughts? -Marc

I am pretty sure it's basically just two big trim tabs that tilt the boat.

The boat doesn't seem very leaned over in the videos. That was my first assumption as well.

I think they still cause delayed convergence, it's just under the hull rather than out to the side.

Delayed convergence under the hull?....I hadn't thought of that. Hmmm...

Has anybody tried using tabs to improve their surf wave?
