    Floe Lift vs. Sunlift

I am looking at purchasing a lift for a G23. The two options I am considering is a Floe Lift VSD-7500 and a Sunlift SL 8012ER. Does anyone have experience with either and are the weight capacities sufficient for a G23? I like the Floe Lift because it is a screw drive instead of hydraulic.

Also, a guy on my lake bought a boat that had blisters in the gelcoat because it was parked on a lift and the moisture from the bunks kept the hull wet. As anyone else seen this problem?

Any recommendations or suggestions are appreciated.

Always go heavy (over) on the weight capacity. (Fuel, supplies, the accidental non draining of ballast, etc) I have a hydraulic lift (shoremaster) and am very happy with it.

On my lake the shoremasters always look straight and the floe's always look somewhat crooked...I personally vouch for shoremaster.

I have a Floe and love it... I do not have as big of a boat or the VSD but it works great. The screw leveling legs are worth there weight in gold, and I also like the deep canopy. I seconded getting the lift bigger than you need.

I have the same Sunlift for my G23, and couldn't be happier. Lifts the boat without a problem, and is quick both up and down. Haven't used their App to run the lift yet but seems intriguing.

I have never heard of bubbling of the Gel Coat from the bunks. I stored my last Nautique on a Shoremaster with turf covered bunks and was not a problem. The Sunlift has rubber on the bunks, so can't imagine moisture would be a problem.

How do you know it's not the other way around? I have a Floe 7500 VSD and it's AWESOME. I would never get a different lift.

As I stated in the OP, I prefer the Floe but I am having trouble finding someone to install it down here in Florida. There are no Floe dealers anywhere around here but I can buy it from Floe directly.
