Nautiquehunter I completely agree with you. I will no longer purchase anything Roswell, and I was just about to buy their tower speakers. It just puts a bad taste in my mouth. I don't like companies that make mistakes and don't fully correct them....no matter the time. I also hope they fired their engineer. That wouldn't fly in my company.

I do agree with the fire their engineer thought. And they should fire the engineers boss...Well maybe fire the engineers boss, and not the engineer themselves. Kind depends on the chain of command and who did what.

To say that people should get on the Internet and check forums for recalls etc is not realistic. Not everyone in the world that owns nautique boats are glued to the Internet or even take any value in these forums at all. Calling a dealer is realistic but he stated the dealer didn't know apparently so that isn't his fault either.

I guess i would disagree. Just like folks were once "glued to" consumer reports, going to a brands internet forum seems quite reasonable, at least to me. Plenty of people on many different forums post a thinking of getting this or that , what should i think about thread.

Well, I would hope that they would stand behind there product. That is why I bought a nautique. I had a different wAkeboard boat brand before, that I bought new. I no longer will buy that brand because they screwed me over. I hope that roswell comes good. It does matter. Keep him as a customer.

I wonder why Nautique and Roswell parted ways??? Could this be part of the reason?

Come on Rosewell u built a pretty decent looking tower here! Now make it right! I hope your atleast offering the owners free parts for the fix.

thats interesting that Nautique dropped roswell, and went with diamond back , for the towers, are they still providing or making any other stock or extra items for new Nautiques??

I believe they are still providing their tower speakers on the 2014 models.

Not to sound like a jerk, but you can't put all this effort into one persons g23 pimping it out like the pn g23 and then leave this guy to hang out to dry. Wow.

I think maybe there is some confusion here. Roswell Wake Air is standing behind its product. In every case up to this very second we have offered some type of warranty assistance to a used boat owner to help fix their boat. This case is no different. I have called farkash3rd dealer and left a message I have also been in contact with farkash3rd in an effort to fix his boat. We are not leaving him to this problem and just saying "sorry". We have all made mistakes in our lives and if we got fired each time we made one employee turn over would be unbelievable. The reason the towers crack is because the lower portion of the tower was a perfect match to the boat. I was a Nautique dealer when this tower came out. I remember the FCT1 and FCT2 four point tower prior to it. I remember trying to make these four point towers fit the boat as good as possible but it was never perfect some cases not even close. The FCT3 is. We designed a sub plate that perfectly matched the shape of the boat leaving no gap. This however trapped water in the lower section of the tower. A problem that never existed before. When we discovered this was happening we made an immediate change to the towers and sent out this TSB to add the drain. The drain allows the trapped water to escape so it cant freeze in colder climates. If the designer wouldn't have made for such a great fit the problem would have been avoided. Instead of changing the fit to a less accurate one a drain channel was added to the base gasket and the problem was solved. We have yet to see this tower "break" from this problem but obviously we have seen some "cracks". Please... before you jump to conclusion take a look at the past discussions on this subject on this site and you will see in each occurrence it includes "Roswell took care of me" I expect this to end the same. Roswell Wake Air has been in the industry for over 15 years now. The designer of this tower is no longer with us but keep this in mind this same designer brought the wakeboard community the first ever "swivel board rack"!! I welcome your feedback, your opinion, and your responses. Please contact me anytime tracy@roswellwakeair.com 321-626-3710

Tracy its not the mistake its the recovery . I don't think you will find anyone here that will say Nautique builds perfect boats . There have been a number of issues with their product and for the most part all of them have been resolved with happy owners. From your post above it looks like Roswell may be the same kind of stand up company and is cleaning up after themselves. Who started the end of warranty deadline in the first place?
Most of the threads about this subject have been about the defect not being covered under warranty. In the end as you said they were all taken care of. So why get everybody worked up with the end of warranty posting? If you want to put a end to the warranty I would think it would be right after the last flawed tower was repaired or replaced. As you said as soon as you found the flaw you corrected it . So how many towers did you build for Nautique before the correction? I think it would have served Roswell better to post story's about how your customers received above average customer service above and beyond the basic warranty. Instead you have to waste time explaining and defending you product. I don't particularity like Monster towers but all I keep reading is posts about their excellent customer service. I hope I can say the same about Roswell in the future.

As an engineer that works in a technology company, mistakes happen all the time. Design is not a perfect world. Even after a product is in full production or end of life, if an issue arises it is our job to keep customers safe and happy. I think "Nautiquehunter" hit this issue right on... "It is not the mistake, it is the recovery." The recovery is what the customer remembers, not the excuse made for a design flaw.

No excuses here gentleman and to my knowledge no cracked towers that we haven't been a part of repairing. We have sent out many notices in different formats through many sources. Planet Nautique being one of them. Planet Nautique is good sources because I know it is getting the boat owners, dealers, and manufacturers information as we all check it. I have sent out the this particular "friendly reminder" to check your tower many many times. Unfortunately to little success. I decided to change the posting after some discussion between Roswell, Nautique, and some Nautique dealers to "Warranty coverage ending" in order to try and get more people to check the tower and to be honest it worked. I instantly received e-mails and phone calls on the subject. They all wanted to know what years, which tower, and how to check and/or make the modifications. It worked as it drew attention to the need for inspection. Bottom line is nobody is happy when a tower cracks not the customer, dealer, Nautique, or Roswell. If by that posting I prevented even one additional tower from cracking and a customer not having to deal with the replacement then it worked and I truly believe it did work! To be honest I have assisted in only one tower cracking since making that post, this tower will make two. Roswell is keeping the required parts in stock although they have been obsolete for a few years in order to keep the downtime as short as possible. This particular customers tower is still cracked to my knowledge. I have sent him another e-mail reaching out as well as to his dealer but haven't heard back. I will end this post with a quotation from the last e-mail I sent him though. "Want to make sure you are able to enjoy yourboat this summer" I am still trying to ensure this.
