Ok you guys are killing me here....just to clarify when outside of the boat looking at the rear, my prop spins clockwise. Is that considered LH or RH rotation? I assume LH. Also the driver sits on the starboard (right) side of the boat. I assume the "problem" with this setup and surfing on the starboard side is the prop wash affects the wave? The OP has the same problem on the other side? I would agree with those here that 900 lbs in the back locker without enough weight upfront will cause a steep wave but it is affected by the prop wash. I would think if you lengthen the wave the prop wash "affect" wouldn't be as great. IDK just spit balling here....

"Figure 1 illustrates some common prop terminology. The prop shown is left rotation (L or LH), because in viewing from behind the boat the leading edge of the 12 o'clock blade (or top blade) is left of the trailing edge. This prop must rotate counter-clockwise, or to the left, in order to propel the boat forward."

I switched it...I took my boat to my mechanic at Arizona Inboards and he switched my V-drive! Let me tell you, it made all the difference in the world!! The PORTside wake is so much better....no complaints here except now I have to find a new ballast set up lol

211 port side surf setup: 350 lb sac on the walk thru and rear port tank full. Belly tank full. Fly High 370 lb. Tube Sac under the passenger seat bench. (that model sac fits there because it is only 10" high. Then, a 350 lb sac on the floor of the bow. Watch for rollers, or the now will get wet. This setup will give plenty of lean (boat lists to port) so if you have more than 2 passengers, you could lighten up on the ballast. The 211 seems to have less freeboard so also be careful turning around to pick up your rider...when he falls, pull back on the throttle, let the wave pass you, then turn ... Otherwise you'll be eating your own roller.

I’ve been trying tirelessly all summer to get a good clean portside surf wake on my 04 sv211 (RH prop rotation). I’m going blind from reading all the posts on here about surf setups on the sv211. I think I’ve tried every combination suggested but this is a new one and I’m more confused than ever. I’ve basically given up on the portside wake and have learned to ride goofy as the starboard wake seems ridiculously easy to setup. My next step was to attempt a DYI NSS setup on the port side this winter. But how did you change the prop rotation that easy? Can I ask how much it cost you?

I'm pretty sure that everyone reading this wants to know how much that little prop rotation switch cost. I never thought you could do that. More importantly, what had to be done?

My mechanic who now works for Boulder Boats too out my V-drive and swapped it out directly for a different V-drive and swapped out my prop for a LH rotation... It costed about 1500...but I paid more for a better prop. Let me tell you it was well worth it. I have so much more of a curl on my port side and the surfing wave is cleaner and longer!
