Just an observation

Seems this forum is heavily weighted to boarders / surfers and their respective boats, nothing much on sn 200 / 206 owners. Maybe suggest have dedicated section to h core skiers?? Stead of trawling through boarders posts ( with due respect)

Or maybe we are a dying breed

I hope we are not a dying breed. I think that most hardcore three eventers are probably non boat owners, rather club members who ski behind a club boat.
We must though be thankful to our boarding / surfing friends as the increased demand for V drives has definitely strengthened the Nautique brand.

and thankful CC hasn't felt that way but instead developed the 200. They have the biggest and smallest wakes on the market!

I still love PN, but a lot of skiers have migrated over to ballofspray.

I have no problem creating a specific area for skiers only if there is demand for it. How many of you would use it?

Skier (mostly) here. Just as a point for discussion - what would a special section give us that we don't have now?

I see this is a boat brand oriented forum. And it's a great place for all things Nautique.

When I really want to know something about skiing, I head over to Ballofspray.

I was a hardcore 3 evener but once I started boarding and surfing I did gravitate here and feel that it grabbed me with the majority of topics wake and v drive based.

Every tournament best I had was behind a Nautique and that's why when we changed our boat usage Nautique was our choice. Kind of an irony that the boat that makes the best slalom wake is also the best surf boat company too.

Guess what I am really saying is the h-core skiers do have a point, we really are more biased to the wake boats.

How about a Ski/Wake/Surf/Foot/Foil section similar to how they do it on CCF. Then all the different disciplines can post in that section. That might be a good spot to put a sticky for surfing ballast tips as well so that there aren't so many redundant threads in the General section.

I go to the other extreme, don't bother with the categories at all, I always click on the "New Posts" link http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/se...e=vBForum_Post and just browse all the new posts.

Just from my perspective, it's been a while since I clicked on any thread here, as the majority of titles are board/surf related. With that, I don't come to PN nearly as much anymore. If more people talked direct drive boats and 3 event over here, I'd hang out more. I'm not denigrating PN in any way, it's just the topics of interest here don't usually fit my own.

My feelings exactly. I love PN, just not many topics that interest me.

I would use Balls of Spray but I 100% cannot stand that interface. I have not seen a worse forum yet, well CCFan is very close.
