what is min water depth for surfing in a lake. i have an opportunity to go use a private lake but the water depths range from 8 to 18 feet over the entire lake. most of it is 10-12 feet . will still be able to generate the best wave for my boat or will the water depths make it not possible?

Anything at least 10-12' should be fine. There is a narrow sandbar that we have to cross over on one of the lakes we wakeboard on and the water drops from 50+' to about 4-5' and then back to 50+' in a matter of about 3 seconds. You can very noticeably see the wake shrink and come back to size if you are paying attention from the boat or the end of the line. Depending on wind direction this is usually the smoothest water so we have just learned to pay attention to it and be sure not to be edging into the wake when it is coming up.Shawn

With your 210 you might get by at 10 feet, but the best surf wake will be at least 12, if not 15 depending upon your speed.Steve
