    210 surf wake

I bought an 07 210 back in April and love the wakeboard wake but want to set it up for surfing. It just has factory tanks now. I have read a lot of posts on how to set it up for surfing but they all seem to be different. I What is the best way to set up it with fat sacs, speed, and HG and keep the factory tanks in. Gonna buy sacs and I want to make sure I buy the right setup. Thanks

I'm fairly new to all of this, but have a new 210. If I had to make an assumption... I'd get a fly high bow sac, 600-750lbs in whatever rear locker you are surfing and 3-400lbs for surfing side mid-rear of the boat. The 3-400 could be used to tune the wave even on the rear seat. It can also be used for walk thru if you want to hold off on bow sac for now. It adds up quick $$$$. The 600-750 in the rear locker, could be the first purchase and build on that! Get fly high pump and bags to save $. One pump for all the bags. Although I really like sumo bags. I'm running sumo and fly high, but had to buy two pumps, unless you plan on plumbing them in. If you plan in plumbing at some point these two brands work. Not sure if you can plumb ronix yet. My .02 from owing a 200v and now 210. You will probably run somewhere between 9.5-10.5 mhp.

      Which side do you surf?

      How big do you want?

      What board?

I surfed my 07 with one fat sac added on rear seat. I surf goofy. Not a huge wave but very surfable

I surf goofy and just use stock tanks. Fill the surf side and bow and pile the people on the surf side. I'm 230 and ride a short Cove or my fail safe Broadcast

Get with wakemakers.com, they'll get you set up with hose, fittings, clamps and sacs. I went with 750 s plumbed into the rear lockers, and the FlyHigh w721 in the center locker plumbed to the belly tank. I also have a few hundred pounds of pop products. Speed is 10.5 or so, maybe a bit faster depending on the rider

I've found 9.5 to get newbies into a sweet spot then slowly bump up to 10-10.3

How big do you want? I don't want it huge just surf able. I have tried full rear factory tanks surf side and 1/2 belly and one guy 220lbs on surf side and my light wife driving
And it just wasn't giving enough push.
              What board? I surf 5'4" parks/ thruster. I weigh 165.

I was thinking about just getting 2 400# v drive sacs. One for rear port surf side and one for walk thru or where needed. But if the integrated bow would work I would like to keep any sacs off the floor. Sounds like I will take HS advice and check out wakemakers. How is it possibly to put anything in the center ski locker the belly hard tank takes up the whole thing?

              Thanks for help.

The belley hard tank (at least on mine) is "U" shaped, so the "Arrow "tail" fits into the void (where you could lay a ski in the locker). Up forward in the hold space, the hard tank stops and there is a triangle area beneath the deck of the bow and bow seats. This area ranges from about 9 - 10 inches high back where the locker is, and thins out to about 4 inches high the close you get to the nose and outboard portions of the hold space. This means that the full depth of the arrow sac is underutilized, but I like using that space instead of the bow under seat storage areas because I keep extra PFDs and my anchor, anchor buddy, and a few pop products under the seats. I read somewhere that having the ballast under the floor deck makes for better boat handling versus under the seats (and above the floor deck).

Just call WakeMakers and Spencer or one of the other guys will get you set. I went with a single Ronix 8.3 (800#) with the 3700 gph pump. Takes all of 3 min to fill!! I still don't have the goofy side dialed in yet (only because I am the only goofy one in my family) but the port side is really good. I went with the Ronix so I could experiment with various positions in the boat. keep in mind if you have numerous friends in the boat your set up will change. BTW I have an 08 210 SANTE.

Sounds like when I get a free second during the day...which seems to be never...I'll wake makers. The belly tank on my 07 takes up the whole locker it is definitely not u-shaped that must have been something they changed on later models. BTW. I should probably know but what are Pop products?

I have seen the pop-products bags the leadwake bags and the bomb sacks http://www.bombwake.com/index_files/ballast.htm

They all will get the job done but the leadwake bags are the smallest and most convenient if you can get ahold of them although if your not near so-cal that might be a chore. The bomb sacks are also 50lbs and are the largest but are still pretty convenient and the bags are super durable. The pop-products bags are only 40 lbs and are slightly smaller but don't seem as durable but they are also slightly cheaper and it could be easier for kids or wives to move them for you. Either way a couple hundred pounds allow you to clean up the wake no matter where people want to sit. I have some people trained that if you want to move seats while someone is riding you need to move the weight to compensate. Some never get it though and call their husbands "wake nazi" when they ask them to move back while they are riding...
