    Best stock surf boat

Looking for advice on which Nautique boat is best for surfing without adding fatsacs, etc. I had a 2009 230 which I loved, but have begun primarily surfing and filling and draining the fatsacs just got to be too much of a PIA, so we sold it late last year. We test drove a G23 and the surfing was great straight out of the box - with just 2 people in the boat. Unfortunately the G23 won't fit in my garage and there are no storage areas near me. I'm hoping someone has some experience with a newer vintage 230 or 210 with NSS that can tell me whether surfing stock will work at all. Otherwise, I will have to buy the G and have my garage expanded!

230 with pro ballast is a good option. Smaller and less expensive than the g. Although the g is a monster obviously. Just another thought. I love surfing the 230 with nss.

First place - G23 with NSS.
Second place - 230 pro ballast with NSS. The wake is not as tall and long as the G but still has a lot of push
2013 G23 450 with NSS (175hrs) and still have the original prop
          2010 SANTE 230 343 (280hrs)
pre 2010 - various open bow boats and jet skis

I took delivery of a 2014 230 with pro ballast in January. the surf wake is great with lots of push. I had a 2008 230 before and the new 2014 230 with pro ballast and NSS is just awesome. you will be happy with it.

I can't recommend as I have a G23 but what about the new G21? certainly shorter, I'm sure others can speak to the wave.

I purchased a 2014 SAN 230 w/ Pro Ballast and NSS after MONTHS and MONTHS of research and demoing tons of boats. The wave is absolutely massive and a blast to ride I think the G23 would be a close 2nd but still think the 230 takes it for a pure "surf" boat.

I surfed a 14 210 with NSS and pro ballast a few weeks back, I was amazed by it. So simple to setup. Before that I'd only surfed my 2004 210 so I'm not much help with comparisons, but I always assumed my next boat would be a 230, just because the surf wave, and now I feel differently.
