Is it weird that I felt the need to add a BBQ mount to the tower of my 236? Don't we all get hungry for a good steak or is it just me? My friend thinks it's strange. But I'm quite happy with it

Is it removable? Or do you actually ride with it there? And I see you're not from the South (where things like this usually originate). Down here BBQ is a food and that's a grill

Thats why I bought a pontoon. As anal as I am about my boats I would never try and cook on them?

It's totally removable and stowable. I actually anchor out a lot on lo Washington. It's a huge lake. I would never have it mounted while riding or surfing

No doubt you'll be hero of the galaxy when you pull hot food off the grill..... However:

just understand you now have an open flame less than 24" from your fuel vent... Hot dripping grease mess potentially down the side or inside your boat... A 10 level hazard for your vinyl in terms of heat and grease... Not to mention the messy containers of food, BBQ utensils, knife, etc etc and a storage requirement that will bang and leave grease. Folks will eat your food and smear it all thru the inside of your boat. You might become the guy that everyone brings raw food and then come to you to cook, making all this^^^ worse.

maybe in a pontoon where there is more room.... Better suited. Problematic at best IMO. Had one in my Yamaha the entire time I used it. Zero chance of that in any wakeboat of mine.

with that said... Can i have some chicken??

Good point! The BBQ is a high end magma infrarred model but you're spot on about the grease. I'm thinking we start with less messy food like hot dogs and see where it goes. I designed the mount to swivel so it will hang off the boat about a foot, but still I think I will drape a towel over the transom . . . .
yes, bring your chicken over and I will cook it up

If you want dogs, cook them before you go out and put them in a thermos with boiling hot water. They will stay hot for a long time and you don't need the grill.
As for my boat, jerky is our meat, several flavors and no condiments needed!

Same herr. If you want some protein on the boat jerky or some peanuts/cashews/almond mix is where it's at.

Speaking of BBQ and breakfast, try smoking thick cut bacon on a grill or smoker. You can thank me later.
