Quality Control on NEW boats from CC

What has the group experienced when they pick up there NEW boat from the dealerships.

Stuff like jel coat, junk in the bilge, fit and finish, And how has the dealer responded when you say I paid $xxxxx and got this.

Im going to look at White Lake Marine for a possible future trade in.

I'm extremely anal about cleanliness, and I've yet to pick up a new boat that was up to my personal standards. I've never complained to the dealer about it, I just clean it up when I get it home. To me that's part of the fun.

The only fit and finish issue I've encountered was my brother's '07 196. There was some spider webbing in the gel near the from tow eye. The dealer took care of it, after we noticed it.

One more thing, the very first ride in the 200, the Linc screen was blank. Had to stop, turn the boat off, and reboot it. It's worked fine ever since. Odd?

      A330-

      first 450hp G23 85hrs:
1 small gel crack at tower base
electrical issue stereo grounded out with NSS
1 part of Seadeck bubbled up

      Current 550hp G23, at 85hrs:
      squeaky serpentine belt replaced
      2 small gel cracks
      1 area of Seadeck
fold over window cushion strip replaced
rear bilge pump stopped working... Loose connection in dash

A+++ dealer in Buxton, all replaced/fixed immediately.

i move often and couldn't play the Malibu garbage games of "you didn't buy your boat here". My Malibu 247 was a lemon and 2 shady Malibu dealers and all the way up to CEO wouldn't make things right. Slimy dudes.

I guess I'm a tough customer... Nautique and Buxton have exceeded ALL expectations.

the only thing I regret is having wasting time owning a Malibu with crooks for senior management

White Lake isn't perfect, but they will bend over backward to make you happy over issues you do find. I'd love to visit N3 and Buxton, but am glad WL is my backyard dealer.

        Where do/will you ride?

I have had a good experience so far. A few very small things. When replacing my stock sub I noticed a few things in how close they mounted the screws to the hole for the sub. I would have never known if it wasn't for swapping them. I am pretty happy though. A definite step up over my 6 malibu boats. Ryan, I had a negative experience with buxton. I am glad they are treating you well.

            My own 2 cents..
I bought my boat from buxton and they treat me good. On the other hand ugly johns in Tulsa ok plays the game "you didn't buy your boat here"
As far as quality and cleanliness I would have to agree with a post above and say it's not up to my standards and do it myself. I found an entire foam mat stuffed behind the center tank and about 50 cut zip ties and a Gatorade bottle. I think they used my boat as a trash can during assembly.

i found a fair amount of screws bolts etc. but a gatorade bottle to me means the workers and manager of the workers don't gave a **** about the boats they are building. that is just sad.

I get a new boat every year and have definitely seen a decline in the cleanliness of the boat when it is delivered. For the most part (with a few small exceptions), quality is very good. I have seen more blemishes in the gelcoat recently than I have in the past as well.

Mostly Falls some at Jordan but considering Harris as Water Quality issue abound at the former 2. What about you?

It would seem that there are similarities between the manufacturers as the demand rises the quality declines, maybe its our fault for continuing to support this behavior instead of taking delivery (paying $$$$$$) when its right.
Thats another thread though. Im just interested in the wake wave of you brand.

Ill need to seriously test drive before switching.

used to do Jordan and Harris but are fairly exclusive to Falls now. Water quality kept me away from Falls for awhile but finally took a chance. Never looked back. Harris isn't bad water but it's small and the ramps are horrible, and it's further away. Jordan has too many boaters that don't know what they're doing.

I have seen very few quality problems over the years, never with White Lake, Its always been whats left in the bilge, during the building process, some times I feel you could open a hard wear store up from all the nuts and bolts left, worries me that I will find one missing, but never have,

I haven't had issues with things in my boat. Although I do think they shouldn't be there to begin with.....I have to ask what type of dealer preps a boat and doesn't clean it out thoroughly. That is really on them if it gets all the way to the customer with a Gatorade bottle in the bilge.

My 2003 210 had a cup full of hardware in the bilge. The 2013 g23 had nothing I've found yet. My experience would look like it was better.

No wake marine did an awesome job of detailing out the boat before I picked it up. I was impressed and I notice the little things.

Talking about the nuts and bolts you gotta think they have to get these boats done fast and they usually don't have much of the floor in them till the end. Dropping a screw or some nuts is just not something you have time to figure out.

it is what it is. the stuff get's under the gas tank, and of course is stainless so you can't use a magnet to pick it up.
