    2015 Nautique G25

After reading lots of good info on here about you all's G series boats, I put my order in for a new 2015 G25 with the XR550 engine. Should hopefully arrive by end of August. Several changes and some new color options for 2015 G series.

Glad I found this forum with all the wonderful info. Thx everyone!

Thanks! Yeah we're pretty excited. First Nautique for our family although we've been in a boat club and have used Nautiques for a few years so we're familiar with them.

Here is list changes on 2015 from what I can remember:

-3 new colors (Orange Metal Flake, Pink Metal Flake, Indigo Blue Metal Flake)
-New electric shift for throttle, no cable. I think this is like "drive by wire" similar to cars?
      -New 5000 lumen underwater lights
-New Anthracite finish on windshield, tower accessories, and board racks
      -New Ballast filter system
-Camera tow point for GoPro; existing camera system no longer an option
-Design package has more color options
-Rope holder in transom storage lockers
-Level III stereo options with additional amp and 5 zone control; speaker upgrades
-2 part floorboard at rear of boat like on G21
-Transom vents chromax color like G21
-Tower bimini now has shock assist
      -New bigger mirror

      Hope that helps.

Congrats on the new boat. One thing I continue to find interesting with Nautique is that you can order a 2015 boat well ahead of there being any published information on what is changing from 2014 to 2015. Does anyone have any insight on the changes from 2014 to 2015 mainly interested in the 210.

I believe most of what I listed above will apply to the 2015 SAN 210/230 with the exception of stereo upgrade, design colors, 2 part floorboard, and transom vent color change. Also I think the 210/230 gets the surf pipe standard and option for extra set of speakers in bow.

With the G25 you might be able to take out the whole club. Looking forward to the pics

Drive by wire has been out for years.... Nautique is kinda late to the game in this regard. It's already on on other PCMs.

I was out on a new Centurion FX44 this weekend that had the PCM 450, silky smooth and precise throttle with DBW.

being the first to bring something to market does not always make the best judgement, await and see , and putting all the best information and technology together usually brings a better product ,(DBW)

Throttle by wire as been around a while on PCM engines and in Nautique boats. What I believe AustinTX is referring to is shift by wire for the transmission.

well right now neither DBW, tranny.... none of it is on my 2014. Its mechanical cable, and it clunky compared to what already been out for 5 years? wife learning to drive yesterday overshooting revs, and difficulty finding neutral, forward idle and reverse idle positions, slip ring action is rough. None of that happened in a DBW boat. If you don't understand what I am getting at you likely haven't driven them back to back. its a pretty big difference. nothing to develop...Malibu's DBW have been out 5+yrs and they are flawless....Centurion PCM have it.. wanna bet it'll be the exact same components on other brand PCM boats? that's my only point.

Don't get me wrong, I love my CC, wouldn't want any other boat... by a mile!! (esp after yesterday lol) but not a revolutionary development and late to the game on this. Honest critique on a terrific boat fellas. CC has me spoiled,

Yeah the metallic pink was a bit too much for me although I'm sure someone would be able to make that look good.

And yes the throttle is now digital and no longer has a cable. So "shift" by wire.

DBW throttle was incorporated into Nautiques in 2006. All my 196's had it. I believe its necessary for ZO. Tranny by wire must be new?
