HELP!! Trouble weighting 2008 SANTE 210

Hey guys, I just upgraded from a 2002 to 2008 210 and I'm having a ton of trouble getting the size and shape out of the wake that I'm looking for. Coming from the 02 I'm partial to somewhat of a steeper wake and the pop it gives but I realize the newer hull won't provide that.

As of right now- fill factory ballast completely then have (2) 400lbs sacs in the rear and have been putting close to 1000 in the bow sack just to keep from porpoising. The wake just feels somewhat flat and lacks the pop I feel that it could have.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how they weight theirs? The bigger the better the wake in my eyes, as long as the shape is right.

You mentioned porpoising so I am wondering if you have the round or square Zero Off Antenna? I think the round style is the old one and if that is what you have you should look into replacing it because that is likely causing your porpoising issue. The wake will never be as steep as the old 210 but I think less weight up front (or even more in back) will make it steeper and more similar to what you had.

Here is more info about the ZO antennas:

My 07 put out a great wake stock. Sometimes I had to drain one side a bit to get both sides clean but full stock produced great wake. I would land in the flats most of the time

Thanks a lot! After doing some more digging it looks like this could really help. I do have the round style antenna.

I don't like putting that much weight in the front but had to just for the sake of the porpoising, so hopefully this will help me get the shape I want.

You definitely have too much weight in the bow, and the boat will take more rear weight than you have in it. (All assuming you have the ZO antenna fix.) Be sure the hydrogate is pulled all the way back to the "vert" position.

Fix your zero off issue first.
Fill all 3 ballast tanks. Then 400 in each rear locker, 400 up in the bow & a 400(or 750) on the floor in front of the rear bench.
Pull rider up with the hydrogate pushed forward(towards the dash) when the boat gets on plane & your perfect pass beeps, pull the hydrogate all the way back. Wake is money with that setup. ITs what I run.

Ok first off get rid of that crappy round antenna. You will also need the software update for the head unit.
Get rid of the 400's and get 750's. Pull out the panels that are on top of the hard tanks so bags are directly on tank. Get the arrow sack up front and hook into belly over flow. Next get 3-500lbs of lead. Place at min 100lbs right in the nose. Arrow sac will only hold about 250lbs but it works well in that location. Disperse the remaining lead around the middle of boat and move bags forward the more u fill the rear bags. Meaning if you only cycle your rear pumps twice your fine with only the arrowsac and 100lbs of lead in nose. Fill rear 750's completely full and you'll need to throw another 100-200 in the nose.
Lastly u'll want to get a 1235 prop or at a min the 1433 or 1617 if u don't want to deal with gel burn from the 1235.

And for sure the gate has to be in the back position after your on plane.

Thanks a lot guys. One thing I didn't mention aside from the porpoising was just that the boat was having a hard time getting on plane without the bow sac filled all the way up. Even with the trim pushed all the way forward we would have to have someone jump all the way to the nose to get up to speed. I think I may have a slight skip on a plug that could be making me lose some power I need to check into.

Will definitely look into the antenna and software upgrade. Looks like its about a $400-500 expense for those. Does that sound about right?

The prop is something else to consider, along with new sacs.. just will take me a while to save up for all the extra stuff!

Really appreciate the input guys. It has been super frustrating to upgrade to a newer boat but then feel like the wake just isn't quite there.

HELP!! Trouble weighting 2008 SANTE 210

I run stock full. 400s full in the rear lockers. 380 full in the ski locker. 21-22.5mph and with the gate up, it's steep! With this weight I ride with the gate on 2 or 3 to ease it up a bit. I too have the 1000lb bow sac but I don't use it for the reasons you mention.
If you have 4 passengers across the back and no one in the nob then yes you will struggle to plane out and have porpoising issues. This is where I have stuffed the 1000 under the bow seats ( not ideal I know but it was already plumbed so why not make the most of it) and this gives me an extra 200 to counter the passenger weight.

You really shouldn't have much trouble getting a big steep wake from where you are. Just play with the amount you have in the bow. No rear passengers? Nothing in the bow. 4 across the back half fill the bow. And go from there.

^^^ the above is with a 1235 prop. It would really struggle with a standard prop.
