For the summer my family rented a lake house 9 hours away in South Carolina (We live in Florida) we just got a aluminum continental trailer for the boat so this will be our first long haul. What are some tips and tricks or just things we might need to know for such a long trip. Thanks!

Spare tire
Floor jack to get under axle with a flat
Tire iron to fit lug nuts
Grease gun
Section of 1x6 and a few 2x4s. Can use them as a base for the jack on soft soil or sand. All kinds of uses really so I keep a few in the bed of my truck.1997 Super Sport

Make sure your tires are properly inflated and check the hubs at every stop to make sure your bearings are not overheating. Try to have the fuel tank in the boat as empty as possible before you start your trip. You don't need/want to tow extra weight.

I'm sure there is something for a triple axle. I have had to use the single axle style on the side of the highway when my tire blew out. I felt it was secure and steady when I used it. Read the directions on either style.
Make sure your spare is inflated too.

kodiak - no problem. It is one of those tools you want to have, but never use.
JamesHawk101 - make sure you have a proper lug wrench or breaker bar and socket to fit your lug nuts / bolts. I carry a small piece of pipe for additional leverage. I'm sure others do the same here.

Put your hand on the hubs and then the tires themselves. There should be little or no difference between the two. Again, make sure the tires are inflated properly.

You may want to look into the Boat US tow coverage for on the water and trailer events. For something like $80/ year it includes unlimited inland waterway towing and assistance as well as 100 mile trailer assistance when on the road.2008 210 SANTE

So we're about ready to leave and are having issues with the cover. It doesn't wanna go over the rub rail very well and isn't even over it in places. Is there something I am doing wrong or is the cover just need to be stretched out2015 G23 Coastal Edition 450 NSS
