curious to see how others surf nss settings?

i typically use the 0 setting 90% of the time, especially with a longer board. will eventually change to 2 or 3 with a short board. how are others setting the nss to surf? anybody surf at 5? i havent had the time, but id like to compare pics of the wave at different settings with the same boat settup.

    Typically I surf NSS at 2-4 and surf vert 1-3. 11.6- 11.8mph.

almost never go higher in surf vert, wave gets too steep then washes out.

sometimes do go NCRS 4-5... But you gotta increase speed to lengthen the wave some. Usually 11.8 -12.2 with the NCRS in the 4-5 settings, else you have a 4-5ft tall but only 6ft long wave.

Yep, **** near. Dennis back there is almost 6'2" for reference. On my first 450 G, 2315 prop. Obviously no surf pipe.

But for reference, that's what it looks like with NCRS cranked up to 5, surf vert 3 maybe.... OEM ballast, + 900ish in the surf side trunk and 300-500 in the other trunk.

That wave actually would have been a great wave had we been at 12mph or slightly faster. That's your gas guzzling 15gph+ 3500-4000rpm wave.
