New Member and Newly Purchased 1989 Ski Nautique

Just wanted to introduce myself and show my purchase.1989 blue and gray ski nautique with 1100 hours on it.

She is a diamond in the rough, but that's where is room for improvement.l have known and have rode in this boat for around 25 years and knew all the previous owners. The first part of its life, the boat had a lot of love given to it and she was well cared for.But the last owner had it two years and just let it go downhill. The interior probably was ready to let go anyway. The graphics are not oem style and need to come off, along with a good cleaning and buff job.l plan on putting an "oem" interior and carpet new in it too.

I not new to boats and have redone several with my dad when l was a young.Along with a number of other small boat experience. That said, any suggestions and advise will be appreciated!

Question,is there anything special about the gray and blue gel coat.l hve not seen one in this color combo

On sunday l took everything out of the interior l could except for the drivers chair.Checking for soft areas but did not find anything that was suspicious. The glass looks good under the deck behind the engine and out to the transom. No flaking or missing glass.

Anyone know about the color combination? (previous post question)

Nice boat! The last of the 2001 era. I always wanted an '89, but never owned one. You ask about the color combo...I've seen that combo quite a few times actually. Nothing really rare about it, but it does look nice!

Looks good! I purchased an '89 last winter. There is a lot more information and discussions concerning older Nautiques on CCFAN. I recommend posting there also.

Congrats on the 89. I love mine, same color combo but mine has all decals removed and previous owner put in non original interior. Still love it though. Click image for larger version

                Congrats!

I sold my 89 last weekend. Hated to see it go, but we needed something bigger.
