2014 speakers lack of!!!! Big disappointment from the factory!!

So the Base stereo package only had two speakers and a Head-Unit? That's a head scratcher! Didn't know they were trying to compete with Glastron circa 1997 on the stereo front. Glad to hear they fixed it for 2015.

No. The 210 comes stock with 2 cockpit speakers and 2 bow speakers.
The level2 stereo adds a sub and extra amp.

Are the openings there for the speakers, if they are not ordered? I am wondering if this is a result of so many people immediatly tearing out the stock stuff to put in wetsounds or the like. If that was my plan, I would only be ordering the lowest possible option.

Openings for what? The 210 comes base with 4 speakers as i have said twice in this thread already. There is currently no option to get 6 speakers from the factory in the 210. You are only able to get 6 speakers from the factory with the 230 level 2 stereo option which adds bow speakers.

I would buy the lowest possible option too. My reasoning would be that I don't use the stereo. I enjoy the sound of the engine and the water.

Whoa...sorry. I bow to your knowledge of factory speaker set ups. What panels is the OP talking about then to make his new ride like a '15?

Haha, sorry if that sounded blunt!
I'm not exactly sure what he is talking about. There aren't any panels that speakers can be put easily. You would have to cut through some vinyl on the port side and it would be a very tight squeeze for an extra speaker on the starboard side.
It sounds like they are making 4 cockpit speakers standard on the '15 210 with bow speakers, sub, and extra amp as the level 2 options. Don't hold me to that though, im not 100% sure!

Well after all of this the bottom line is the 2015 210 will come with 4 cockpit speakers. They are also changing the port to house two more cup holders and the grab rail so it will balance out the port side. If you currently have a 2014 210 you can order the parts needed to make it a 2015. They are mounting the drivers speaker beside the right foot where the blank panel is. Rather than ordering all the new kick panels I just ordered the two new speakers and added them in and yes there is enough room to mount the port side cockpit speaker!! I will be missing the two extra cup holders but at the end of the day it sounds amazing!! The good thing is if you ordered the level 2 stereo all the wiring harnesses are right behind the panels ready to go! My installer didn't even have to run new wires, and BTW he works on $100,000 BMW's and said this is one of the best made machines he has ever worked on. He has done my last three 210's and by far this is the best one yet. All is good just wish it wasn't August already! Canadian winter is on the way in another 8 weeks!
