I have a model year 2001 Ski Nautique and am used to getting on my hands and knees to go under the dash to flip the switch to ON at the beginning of the day and doing the same thing at the end of the day to switch it to BILGE. Since the boat has a nice instrument panel with conveniently located switches, can anybody tell me why the bilge switch is located in such an inconvenient location?

My guess would be because it's close to the fuse box which goes well with 'bilge' mode cutting electricity to everything but the pumps and since its not used often they put it where it won't get accidentally touched.Originally posted by jeclarke View PostKen

Yeah probably a convenience thing to the fuse box. I know in 2002 they put the switch under the throttle I think which is much more convenient.2001 Pro Air Nautique

Ever since I read about this switch on this forum, I've been trying to find it on my boat and can't locate it anywhere...
