    G25 vs G23

I'm about to pull the trigger on a new boat and had a couple of questions

    1. I have picked out a G25 and a G23. We have a big family and are on big water(lake Ouachita). We usually have a bunch of people( not 19 tho). Just wondering if anyone got one and wished they had gotten the other.

    2. The 23 has the 450 motor and the the 25 has the 550. I have always wanted the big motor on either. It seems that people on here end up trading up to the bigger motor in the 23. Is the 450 not enough power? Just don't want to be sorry I didn't get the big motor.

    ThanKs in advance

I'm no authority, but seems like the guys with the 450 seem to feel it's fine with the new 2:1 tranny.

We are headed your way in two weeks with a 550 in a G23 if you want to check and compare. This our first trip to your lake and excited to check it out.

        Steve,

We will be on Ouachita this coming Monday through Friday. We will have our lowly 2013 210, no G in our family.

Ouachita is an awesome lake. You will want to be sure to head to Shangri-la for pie if you have a sweet tooth. Best around anywhere for sure. Watch out for the shallow spot in front of point 28. It gets a bunch of boats.

Our customers that run on rough lakes always run the G25(which is not many). There isn't really any pros or cons except more interior space in the 25 and a little bit longer on the trailer. If you like HP you will like the 550. I wouldn't let the 450 scare you though especially if it's the new 2:1 reduction. 550 will suck more fuel and requires premium.
