What kinda of trailer do you guys recommend/what should I be looking for, and how much should I expect to pay?

Probably not. You need an inboard trailer. The cross members are much more V shaped for an inboard trailer to clear the tracking fins and prop/shaft/rudder. I would expect to pay about $2k for a trailer.

          What about this?

They are asking 800 and apparently including a boat with a blown motor lol. Maybe I could get 200 out of the boat and get teh trailer for 600.

that might be closer to a fair price ... but the main thing is does it run good? everything else is secondary to that considering the rebuild, new heads, etc. that's plenty of power in that boat if it runs right, and i wouldn't consider it any further until i took it out and put it through its paces ...

Welp, I guess the decision was taken out of my hands. The person that water tested it today bought it for 8k. I kinda regret not moving on it. Sure, it was in rough shape, but I personally think it was a diamond in the rough. I could have bought it at 7000 and found a deal on a trailer for 1000, built the transmission (if I had to) for 1000, put 500 into upholstery, and cleaned up the gel with some elbow grease, and had a pretty nice sport nautique with a rebuilt motor and trans with tower for 9500. I just dont see many other sport nautiques going for that, and If I do they are 500 miles away, and not 4 miles from my house.

Oh well, I guess I am back on the hunt and will hopefully find something once fall comes.

I have and they are probably too far out of my price range. Most of them are 13-17k. 12k is my absolute max budget, and honestly I would like to stay below that. If the right boat came along for 12k, with perfect pass, with a FCT, and audio, I would buy it. However I dont want to be more than 12k total into the boat if possible.

Looked at the album - I don't think you missed too much. That boat needs a ton of work. And then you have the trailer as well. And everything always costs double what you expect.

I'll keep my eyes open up here in the Pacific Northwest. You may need to drive a bit.
