    2014 g23 taking on water

I have owned 2 230s and just got a new g23, love it!
We surf a lot, a whole lot, did with the 230's also.
I have noticed we seem to take on a bit more water than we did with the 230's.
We are careful not to stop too slowly and don't dunk the bow.
My bilge pump comes on 3 or 4 times every hour for about 15 or 20 seconds.
Never noticed that with the previous Nautiques.
Took it into the dealer to check the packing at the drive shaft and also the ballast tanks, but nothing wrong there.
Dealer said could be getting water in the rear ice chest, from back wash.
Dealer said all looked fine, and I'm not really worried as I carry extra pumps for sacks anyway should the bilge pump go south.
Anyone else notice more water than expected with the new g boat?
    Thanks

I recently had the exact same issue. The pump was running much more than our 230 ever used to, probably 3-4 times per hour when we were out on the water, and also occasionally after we had returned to the dock.

I was worried that it may be the shaft packing or one of the through hulls leaking.
Brought it back to the dealer to get it checked.

Initially they found no leaks with it just sitting, but then were able to isolate it to the Belly ballast tank/fitting.

This made sense since we were always filling ballast when out on the water, and we have a short ride back to our dock so we are just about drained when we get back to the dock. Water is slowly leaking out of the tank when it is full. They filled all of the tanks till they overflowed, then shut the valves below the pump and unplugged the bilge pumps. Sure enough after about 30 minutes they had water in the bilge. They then turned opened the valves and turned on the pumps one at a time. Both rear ballast overflowed immediately, the belly pumped for a few minutes before it was overflowing.

Apparently this is a time consuming job to fix so we have the boat back and will likely deal with the issue at the end of our season.

I had a problem too,, dealer thought it might be the packing seal , almost took out of water and trailer to dealer but took it back out on the water and let the motor just idle, took a bright light and started looking, turned out to be a hose clamp that was loose. point being, try to isolate ,could be something simple.... only leak if motor was running...
