I am an odd consumer that has no brand loyalty. I purchase what I consider to be the best equipment for what our family does.

I have owned MC's and a CC's. It used to be a simple decision, pick the discipline (waterskiing) and it was an MC. After an accident forced me to give up the course, I picked a boat that was good for recreational skiing and great for everything else; kneeboarding (1995) and wakeboarding----Sport Nautique.

Just sold my 95 Sport and having been searching, studying riding and skiing behind both MC's X-2 and a S.A.N. (which strangely has the same wake as my 95 Sport with 400 lb ballast).

After all this, it's a tie, and I have not found the tie breaker. It may be some research on the keyless ignition.

I ride in a remote location and have a child with a disability. Relability is crucial.

I will say that the wake behind the 95 Sport is large. My buddy has a 94 Sport. Great wakeboard boat; not so good slalom boat.

          Last Word

What I failed to mention was I sold my 95 Sport for almost the exact price I paid for it eight years ago. I have convinced myself I could have sold it for the same price if I would have waited until next spring instead of the beginning of winter!

The boat was in almost the same condition as new; no rattles, no fading (gelcoat or vinyl), no leaks--bilge always dry, engine was perfect, etc.

Talk about a deal, I had zero ownership costs (except for Fuel, Oil, Gas) for 9 seasons---over 400 hours of sandy beaches, two small children and friends with a hundred pound hound riding shotgun on the engine compartment.

Guess I do have brand loyalty after all--just took a few visits to my empty garage to realize it.
