Just curious to see what everyone has to say about the SV211 this year? It has been our number one seller for Correct Craft and it seems that we cannot keep any in stock. I was just checking to see what people thought about them good and bad. Let me know....

i really, really like my boat..
hear are my nit-picks for the 211....
stereo- cc needs a clue from mc..mastercraft knows how to design and intergrate audio into a marine interior
tower- ummm. make it taller like the mastercraft( so i can have 8" cans and a bimini and not hit my head)
seat height - deeper seats or the whole interior could stand to drop 3"-6". i do admit this isnt noticed when on the water, however it does feel weird on the trailer..
exterior- more hull color choices or different color scheme..if you want any color on the hull you have to go with a solid hull
wake - the 211 wake is very good...but the 210 is still better (more vert)..how can one improve the 211 wake or how should it be weighed ?
otherwise really, really nice boat. i love mine !!!

- Current 2005 SV 211, due for upgrade! GS22 or GS24 perhaps? Previous
I picked up my SV211-SE in March and have about 80 hours on it. Overall I have been very happy with the performance and functionality of the boat. It does everything I ask, waterski, wakeboard, wakesurf, even barefoot. The big swim platform is great, it's hard to dip the nose through wakes, and the driver's position is excellent.
My tower flexes too much when loaded up (50lbs of speakers + racks + bimini + mirror). The SE comes with the taller pitched Acme 380 prop even , the TE prop should be substituted when ballast options are selected. Having a radio that the driver cannot control is unacceptable. The speaker crossovers need to be mounted to the boat, not tie wrapped to the wiring harness, or just speakers with integral crossovers. The belly tank vs. rear tanks weight ratio is not optimized, the wake is better with only 3/4 full belly tank, make it smaller. The ballast pumps and overall ballast plumbing is not adequate. The system is slow, the valves leak, and my boat is taking on water somewhere in the system. The bolts on the drainplug were so sharp I cut my hand pretty bad, had to grind them smooth (and they are right next to the gas tank). I agree with Clubmyke about the tower and floor height.
After installing a stereo in my friend's new Malibu and re-installing the stereo in my Nautique I feel there is significant room for improvement in craftmanship of the electrical system's wiring. The Malibu's wiring system installation was much cleaner than my Nautique's.
One of my favorite upgrades is my rear perfect pass control inside the rear hatch, it allows me to change between modes after I am already in my ski/board.
I think the wakeplate should have a lower setting to help the boat plane quicker.
All this being said, one of my friends just purchased a SV211 after one riding/skiing session, it's pretty close to the perfect boat.

Owner Satisfaction
I love my snapout carpet. I can clean it periodically to keep it from stinking. The cooler option is good for all day boaters. By having the cooler in the compartment, it is out of the cockpit. My tower is solid as a rock compared to my previous boat (MC). I think it is tall enough. My wife doesn't think it is quite as comfortable as the MC but I think the performance (ZR6) overcomes the subtle difference in comfort. I think the hull is more solid but Correct Craft lacks attention to detail. When new, mine had several small problems which I addressed myself. On the exterior the boat was immaculate but construction debris was in every nook and cranny. The subwoofer needs a better mounting configuration. There have been numerous posts on this site where the port side gelcoat was stressed or popped through due to the sub mounts being incorrect. The original ballast tank helm controlled valves are inferior to what is available through TH Marine. I replaced mine and now they work as they should. I like the dashpod instrument layout including the Perfect Pass. I now have about 54 hours on mine and have it personalized (factory errors repaired). The more I use it, the more I like it.

RE: Owner Satisfaction
I do agree on some aspects of some of the improvements of the SV211. I do wish that they could incorporate different color options to mix it up a bit more. Like every boat manufacturer, solid color hulls do tend to oxidize when left in the water, and the single top stripe does look a bit blah. I know that correct craft does intend to make some changes to it this year. They are trying to make the side walls of the boat a bit higher. Plus Correct Craft is introducing it's new model thius year as well which seems to be an improvement of the SV211.

RE: Owner Satisfaction
I have had my boat for 6 months, We love it. We are new wake boat owners, and wanted a boat that would, and still will grow with us. That is exactly what the 211 is. We all started boarding in "slolom mode" and are now progressing, without intimidation. The walkthrough transom is a must for me, good storage ,beautiful contemporary hull style, and plenty of space for a boat this size, and it's easily towable, not to big, like some of the +23ft'ers. we love the way it handles chop too.
On the flip side, area's of improvement, are in my mind not 211 specific, like the ballast valves, they leak, the sub location and box, yuk!, some of wiring, and hole drilling , like the courtesy lite holes, looks like they were made with a grinder , not a hole saw.and for crying out loud, how about remote drain hoses for the Tranny and V drive? it's a simple fluid change that should be "owner friendly!"
thanks for listening.2004 SV-211 Team

RE: Owner Satisfaction
We have put about 30 hours on our 211. We cannot say enough about how well thought out we think the layout of this boat is and how great it handles under a variety of conditions. We've had a few minor issues to deal with. The passenger compartment hatch had a screw hole glassed over, thus missing a screw on the cylinder bracket which caused some cracking at the compartment base. We also have about a 14-Inch, hairline crack on the hull just above the rub rail in the area outside the driver seat. We've already talked with our dealer and agreed to a plan to look into making repairs at the end of the year provided the crack doesn't get any worse (it hasn't). The adjustment of the threaded rod latch mechanism on the walk through hatch in our boat is either too tight (hard to open latch) or too loose (rattles when walked on). We have seen some chipping at the hatch door and the rounded corner at the corner of this hatch (FRP on FRP). This is our first real ski boat and our first time purchasing a brand new boat. We're not sure how typical our experience has been with "breaking in" a new boat. Overall, we are very pleased with our purchase.

The PCM transmission is much quieter and just as reliable as the Hurth so I don't see why they would change. The throttle by wire scares me. I would much rather have a direct connection to the throttle via cable. My Chevy Tahoe had the fly by wire throttle control and they had so much trouble with it the next model year they went back to direct cable control. I'd rather CC stick with what's proven.

my best friends parents have one that we have used a ton. only complaints are keeping a consistant speed, no perfect pass here, it is hard to stay at a single speed, and like others have said, the leaking, i know my boat (1987 CC Martinique) seeps at the driveshaft, but this one does it alot more, we run teh bilge all the time, and the ballast will empty itself to about half when full, and fill when empty if the pumps are off. we would like to replace the 2 side tanks with larger capacities, looked under the panels and there is a ton of room to do that vs fat sacs.

the team edition of this boat should have more stock ballast. The wake should be comparable to the san when fully loaded, its not even close, we have to sack it up to get a decent wake, ie 23mph at 75, it does throw a nice wake at 20mph for my daughter to practice on.

I love my 211, but there are a couple issues...
1. The ballast fill up for no reason as we all know....
2. I am not a big fan on the flight clips, I wish the were at an angle. It is a bit of a pain in the *** to get the board in. 3. Better options for the gel coat...Why can't I get a 211 with the 210 stripe?
4. Put the Aux ports next to the driver, so that you can hook up your Ipod right by the driver.
5. Reverse the prop direction so us regular foot guys can have a good wake surf wake....lol
6. Bigger Ballast on Team Edition....
7. I have the cooler and access door...It doesn't work...You can't even open the lid of the cooler high enough to get out a drink.
8. Add a table option for the back section of the boat (removable of course)...Similar to the 226.
That's about it for now....I am sure I will have more later...
