    I Hit A ROCK!!!!

    1995 Super Sport Nautique

So last night I hit a rock...... I was at super slow idle, less than 800 rpm... going someplace I shouldn't have been.

Unfortunately my Acme 380 is all banged up.... What Now? Repair or Replace? Any advice?

    Shaft looks undisturbed....

Without seeing the prop it is hard to give good advice but most probably:
My vote is repair _and_ replace. Your banged up and repaired prop becomes your spare.
Sorry to hear. I know this sucks!! I twisted one up the first time out this year .

You can get it repaired, expect 2-3 weeks, roughly $200. Contact Nettles.

According to my prop guy he can fix almost anything you can do to your prop! But it will cost u! For a normal 4blade repair with basic damage cost is $125 but could double if tore up bad.

I second the vote... Repair and replace.. then you won't be without a boat while it is getting repaired, this time or again later.

Prop repair in the Seattle area (quite a few vendors) varies by if the prop requires welding or not. If it's a simple straighten and balance, it's pretty cheap and fast. If they have to weld it to repair, then the price and time goes up.

I got my 4 blade with some edge dings straightened for $95 with a two day turnaround.
