    G21 ballast drain

Does anyone have a G21 that the ballast does not completely drain when the gauges show empty? I have a new G and after draining ballast my Ballasts show empty. When I put boat on trailer and hit ballast drain about 25% of the water drains out? Took to dealer in orlando and was told its normal. Was told You have to fill tanks completely in water till timer shuts them off, then drain completely? Just trained in my2012 San and never had that issue.

I don't have a G21 but is it possible that the angle of the boat on the water water vs. the trailer is different enough to cause that? If i had to guess the ballast gauge readings are 25, 50, 75 and 100% so even when it says 25% it may be a lot less but water is still in the tanks that cant's be drained until on the trailer. It's just an idea.

On my G23, the ballast graphics may say empty, yet the total lbs of ballast listed on the ballast page will be a few hundred pounds. Are you letting the ballast tanks auto empty (selecting back to dock for the user) or simply manually emptying until the graphics say empty?

There is a reset function on one of the Linc II screens to reset the ballast indicators. But if you simply empty the tanks until you either hear the pumps change in pitch, or on the trailer while level until no more water comes out, then the sensors will be accurate again.

But either way, the graphic tank indicators may say empty while the actually estimated lbs of total ballast will indicate a few hundred pounds.

No, it had water on the ramp and on level ground. I will now run tanks till timer turns off. That may resolve.
