great pic. my wife and i were just in bellevue for 4 nights. caught a few mariner games. we took the entire sunday to explore bellevue instead of going back downtown seattle, we loved it! you live in an awesome city! clean, friendly and safe. we found lots of great public beaches and got lost in an oustanding little area called medina, loved it! you are very lucky to live in such an area. we saw a few people surfing on lake wash, but it looked pretty rough on what seemed to be a calm day, do many ride on lake wash? couldnt beleive some on the homes that we saw on the lake in that medina area, must be a bit $$$i guess.

What part of the great white north are you from? We love Canadians...best neighbors one can have!

Lake Washington is pretty marginal for skiing in the summer. Tends to be a bit lumpy - big lake, deep water, lots of big boats, wind, breakwaters, and all that. Best in the spring / fall / winter when most everyone has packed it in. The pic above is from Lake Sammamish - much more a skier's lake with lots of towboats and riding - it's about about 5 miles east of Lake Washington.

Medina huh? Yup, it's a nice area. IIR, it has one of the highest per capita incomes of any area in the US. You have good taste!

Nice picture! I have actually been on Lake Sammamish (I'm from Pennsylvania). Several years ago I attended a training in Issaquah for two weeks. As soon as I arrived, I headed down to the launch ramp by my hotel and after talking to a few different people, I was going for a ride with some locals on their ski boat. I was there for two weeks and loved every moment. It was an expensive trip, because I stocked up on gear from Adrenaline Watersports! That is a great area.

Next time you come, we'll send you over to Wiley's. It's the locals spot to get gear and it's got a bunch of character as well (Adrenaline is good too BTW). Seriously, ping me if you ever do get back this way, happy to offer up a tow!
