    weak wakeboard tower trailering help

Hello I have never posted anything but I finally got my 1st nautique and I am taking it on a long trip I wanted some tips or something I heard ppl staying tow it with the tower down some say better up but my boat came with a krypt tower and when its on the trailer the tower beats and wiggles around a lot iv put longer set screws I check them all the time they are tight but it seems weak ... But I wanted a few opinions from ppl is it ok to lay it down on astand and tie it off or leave it up and wiggle and beat around or up and run ropes in from one side to the other side in a X to help reduce the wiggle.... I only make 20 min trips to the river normally but this trip will be from 2.5 to 3 hours one way ..I plan on upgrading to a new dimension fight control this winter ..I just wanna make this trip and make it back the best way I can I leave this weekend and really need some feedback thanks

Do you have tower speakers? If so I think taking those off is probably the best thing you can do to help keep it from shaking on the road. Taking board racks off wouldn't hurt either. It's a pain but depending on how bad it rocks it might be worth your time and effort. Most towers are not designed to be towed lying down so I would probably not recommend that unless it seems very secure in the down position? Getting some straps and tying off the top seemed to help with my old FCT1 tower but I still cringed every time I went over a bump in the road. I upgraded to an NDT last year and it has been like a whole new boat. It looks and functions a million times better and I don't have to worry about every single bump in the road breaking my tower anymore.

Yes I do have tower speakers and board racks I take the rack off and on all the time there pretty easy.. I'll take the speakers off . My tower will lay on my motor hatch with a few life jackets under it to clear the windshield I was thinking laying it on there then run straps from the motor mounts up and over to keep it from bouncing and taking the back legs off seem safe but im still not convinced it would work .. if i leave the tower up and tie off to the top should I just go to the base of the tower or go around and tie off under the boat to the trailer? I'm thinking including the trailer would open up other problems maybe

        What boat?
No matter what tower take all the weight off the tower you can will help with the flex you see from the tower. The tower might not have as much flex as you think. The boat and trailer are going to be effected by bumps differently than the tow vehicle, it could appear to be flexing when really it's not.

I always tow with my tower up I believe they were designed to travel this way never had an issue.
