fuel gauge and depth finder not working question

Have done numerous searches on this and found nothing. looks like the float is bad on the fuel sending unit and the transducer may be bad on the depth finder.

Fuel gauge- where is best place to buy

Depth finder- it keeps beeping saying "deep". I can press up and down button to turn off but does it after a minute again. I have gone through owners manual to try and reset or fix but it is not very clear on buttons to push etc.

any advice on either of these two would be greatly appreciated

Do you know what brand depth finder it is? If it's a hummingbird, hit the middle button to cycle through the settings. There will be one for Keel Offset which determines if you want the depth to read from the tranducer or you can subtract 2 feet from it so it reads from the bottom of your running gear. There will also be settings for deep and shallow alarms. Sounds like the deep alarm is set low so it is constantly going off. Use the down arrow to either turn it to off or set it way up. when the deep alarm goes off, try pressing the set button which should clear it and make it stop beeping. If it's a Faria gauge it should have very similar controls.

I am not sure on the gas gauge but you should be able to trouble shoot with a volt meter. All the parts you need can be found at NautiqueParts.com. Use code PND to save 10%.

thanks a million for that. I'm no rocket scientist but I am very mechanically minded and the manual instructions did not make sense to me at all. I will try that tomorrow when I get to my shop. You may have saved me $80 I was just about to spend on a transducer.

We already took the float out and stuck it in a bucket of gas and wouldn't float but floated in water so it must have just gone bad. Also thanks for that discount code!

On my 99 it is under the motor, looks like a hockey puck.
