Warranty Issue, Help with Hull Crack

I am the owner of a 99 pro air nautique. After a wonderful 4th of July weekend I discovered a crack in the hull approximatly 6" long and 3/4" wide underneath the boat between the skags and eye that the winch hooks to.

I was in the boat the entire time this weekend when it was ran and this was not done while on the water. The wierd thing is I did not notice the damage when loading the boat after the weekend. I noticed it once I had unhooked the boat after towing 30 miles home.

I don't remember hitting anything in the road and even if I had and not noticed it I find it hard to believe that it could get past the bottom trailor beam to the underside of the boat hull. I am confident that this crack was not induced by impact. I feel it is a defect in the hull.

I am in the process of contacting the dealer to see what they can do. It is my understanding that the boat hull has a lifetime warranty. I am hoping correct craft will fix the crack.

To add more confusion to the situation I am the SECOND owner of this boat. Will this affect the lifetime warranty of the hull?

If the dealer will not pay to fix the crack does anyone have any experience with this type of work. What kind of money am I talking about to have this damage/crack fixed.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post

Do you have a crack in the fiberglass or do you have chipped gelcoat? I have a '01 SAN with little to no gelcoat between the skags and the tow eye, it does not effect anything, it was caused by loading and unloading the boat 4-5 times a week on a ram-lin trailer.

The lifetime warranty is transferable. Did you pay the transfer fee?

You are on the right track. Contact your dealer. If that doesn't work, contact the factory personally. They are usually responsive to these types of things. You won't know exactly what is going on until you have an expert take a look at your hull. It might just be the gel coat that is cracked.
