Looks like they are putting Hydro-gates on the 206.

Wow the new/old graphics look good. Glad to see the hydro gate also. I know the 196 promo boats are going to have them. I like how they got away from the plastic grab handles to the sides of the rear seat.Current

I'm with George. The plastic pods on the 206 are a bit cheezy in comparision to the new set up. I wonder if the hydro gate will change/help the wake on the 196/206. I understand that its supposed to be identical to the pre-hydro equipped boats but I can't help but think that CC might take this opportunity to tweak things for the better. Any other thoughts.

Is it just me or does that trailer look like an accident waiting to happen. Notice the guides on the back that only come up halfway on the boat and they look to be galvanized steel with no padding. Looks to me like it would be pretty easy to put a nice gouge on the side of the boat if you were not extremely careful pulling on and perfectly straight.

Agree with SGY and george, I question how the plastic grab handles and pods will hold up long term. Some of the piping around mine looks like it's starting to get loose for no apparent reason.
06's look great but my wife will kill me if I even mention trading...2003 Ski Nautique 206 Limited, FCT, Excaliber 330, Midnight Blue - Silver Cloud

Eggie. The pods with the grab handles are mounted in a cheezy fashion. Now they are not looking so good on my boat--in the rear. The beads are coming off and the pods themselves are pulling away from the hull. Very disapointing cosmetically. Also, if by piping you are referring to the coaming pads, my 206 is doing the same thing. The pads are warping not coming loose. I've spoken with CC about this and they have already replaced the pads once. Now they are doing it again. You should call CC and talk to John Givens. He knows what's going on.
My wife would chop me up and burn my body parts in the fireplace if I mentioned replacing our 206. I may talk to a promo person, however, and see if I can strike a deal for next year. I may even look for a 206 with the ZR6. That is a smokin' motor.

Under wraps? If the dealers have already received new 2006 inventory, I think it should be shared with those that care. I am glad someone took the time to throw the pics out there. Now, if a dealer got invited to Orlando and saw things before they were out there, that is a different story.
But, seeing as how I have seen the 06 MC, Malibu and Tige... I think it is about time.

Why are the grab handles above the rub rail? Mine is below the rub rail, I have long arms and still have trouble reaching it sometimes from the water.
They are making some very strange..and possibly...poor design decisions on the new boats.
I like the look of the retro graphics, but considering they kept that font for so many years, it really isn't that retro and most people might just think you have a shiny 20 year old boat....they should have reached back to the 50's ...maybe use the original Correct Craft "script" font on the side.
If you really want to snazz it up and go retro, maybe put some teak accents around the interior.

I just had a coworker say he saw the new 220 over at a dealer in MO. Explained the graphics to a tee.
I love the fact that a coworker, who has never been on a Nautique in his life, has seen the boat before I have, and I am the MO Promo driver! Thanks CC! :x

I agree with what's posted above. If these boats are in dealer inventory, why not post pictures? Malibu, MC, and CC have made no official mention of their new models yet, but they're on the water and in consumers' hands already.
"You can buy this boat, but don't show it to anybody..." yah right.Matt
