    Wakesurf rack question

I recently purchased a 2007 SANTE and need to hang my wakesurf board on a rack off of the tower to get it out of the boat. I submit to the expertise of Planet Nautique for any recommendations on what to get, some insight into what size tubes my tower has, and anything else I should be considering before making a purchase. It is the factory tower. Thanks!

So are you asking if there is a specific rack for your existing tower racks? If yes I would suggest trying to first see if the forks on you existing racks can be swapped out for forks that can accommodate a surfboard. I dont have any idea of what size tube is on your FCT as I have a Titan tower on mine and it has 2.25 dia tube. If you search eBay there are quite a few options in the way of tower racks that will fit a surf board etc. Good luck.

Oh yea there is a coupon code from Monster tower for a buy one get one free rack that was a coupon from many of the Intl Boat shows around the US if you are intrested. I will check when I get home and let you know what the code is. By all means get a swivel rack at least for the starboard side otherwise you will end up taking board down all the time if docking etc. The reason I suggest the starboard side is that is the side that I find the easiest to approach a dock due to the v-drive direction.

The coupon says to go to the www.monstertower.com to shop then call 877-778-6937 and mention promo code 241. Good luck.

My wife has been making surf pockets for the bimini you still can carry 4 wakeboards and have room for 2 surfboards on top.
          This is a 08 210 with Titan tower[fct II]

I'll bump this as I'm looking for something for my '08 230 as well. Tower tubing dia is 2 3/8" (I believe).
            I've looked at the following;

            Roswell
            Samson
            Monster

I've had a little experience with the Monster racks, their ok, some also w/Roswell, not wild about their clamp size inserts (they're "slippery") and seem to have a little issue with staying in position. No experience with Samson.

Our inserts are designed to not damage your tower and be a perfect fit. If you are using the correct clamp size and the set screw properly you shouldn't have any "slippery feeling" If you are having trouble with one of our racks please let me know.

I would consider our SI Surf rack as a great option. If you are not in a hurry hold tight as we may just have something new for you to consider in the near future.

Thanks--If I had a 2008 with similar bimini, I'd definitely try to go this route. Unfortunately, my bimini isn't like that and won't work.

Thanks, Paxdad. Much appreciated. I think my tubes are 2.5" (based upon my circumference measurement divided by pi). I'll also check out Roswell, too.

The surf pockets have to be custom made for your bimini . Check with your local cover shop or come to Georgia for a visit.

                        Tracy,
thanks for weighing in on this, I was hoping to get some new info here.

on the clamps, as I said, limited experience, and was using them on a powder coated tower, so maybe not the most relevant to an anodized finish.

Will the new option surface at Surf Expo?

                        thanks,
