    2008 SAN 230 Wakesurf Help

I have read a dozen or more "instructions" on what to do to be able to wakesurf (no rope) behind different types of Nautiques.

I need a tutorial on my specific boat if anyone would be so kind.

I have the stock ballasts and nothing additional.

Please advise what to fill port, belly and starboard or what percentage of each for what side.

Also, speed. I saw a Malibu wakesurf video and they looked like they were going much faster than 10-11 mph.

The only thing I think I know is the wake plate needs to be all the way back (unless I am wrong).

Please help me out because the surfing has become a big part of my families lake time

    Very much appreciated.

I have the same boat, and we can surf stock, but ideally you'll want to add extra weight to make it much better. I have 750 # x 2 plumbed in the rear lockers, and an arrow sack in the belly. For my boat, we fill the side we're surfing; stock rear + 750 and stock belly + Arrow (~650#)
I find that an extra 200# surf side helps. Try 10.5 mph as a starting point for port or starboard, and play with it from there.

Search here as many have built really nice surf wakes on their 230's....

Thanks Miljack (I have been at the lake building a new boat dock).

I will search some more and see what I can see.

We'll be out next weekend and I will try your suggestions.
