We took delivery of our 2015 G25 this past weekend. Absolutely incredible the performance, craftsmanship and attention to detail. Can't say how pleased we are and looking forward to many years of family boating memories to come. Our previous boats have been a 2013 SAN 210 (343hp engine) and a 2008 SV211 (330hp engine). Here are some initial thoughts:
-The new electric shift throttle is absolutely incredible. Very smooth and very precise throttle adjustments. No more guessing to find neutral/idle. Hard to describe just how nice this is. Our sales guy who did our boat orientation hadn't driven electric shift yet and made a comment that it was worth going to 2015 just for this feature.
-G series boat is a completely different animal in terms of quality, hull design, and attention to detail from other Nautiques we've used. Also the little things like the gas hinges on the storage lockers and lights inside really add a nice touch. Massive amounts of storage.
-Factory ballast (2850lbs) throws a really powerful, strong wave that is amazing for surfing. We also have 2 x 750 fat sacks from our previous boat that I'll give a go at some point...we really never felt the need for more ballast at any point this weekend. Factory ballast does take noticeably longer to fill/drain than our previous boat which only had 950lbs. I'm guessing 15-20 min to fill/drain?
-XR550 engine is awesome performance....and sounds great too! Still going thru engine break-in period and it just sounds and feels better each time I take it out.
-Upgraded Level III stereo that has 5 multi zone controls makes it really nice to fine tune sound in every area of boat and tower speakers. Stereo has 4 amps and it is very loud, clear, and powerful sub. Can't imagine wanting to upgrade this further.
-5000 lumen underwater lights and the LED interior lighting is awesome. We did 4 of the Rev 8 speakers have the blue light rings that look really cool and create a nice mood lighting in evening.
I'll try and get some better pics/video of the wave and interior of boat next weekend if anyone is interested.
