G-series in floor cooler

So, I was looking to get a spare cooler for my G23 - and it seems that Igloo doesn't make it anymore.

Can anyone confirm that the new model will fit? It seems to be about the same size, but want to check if anyone has tried it.

Dimensions look the same.

Dimensions are CLOSE.. but they seem to be off by about a half inch (listed on some sites).

I pulled the floor and 3 cans of great stuff foam and coated the ice chest compartment then put a seal orotund the lid and it will now hold ice for days and much larger than that little cooler. The igloo was thin and did not hold ice long anyway. it cost less than 30 bucks to do the whole thing

FYI.. that newer cooler fits perfectly - that's the proper replacement for the stock in-floor cooler.

How long did it take and what did you use for the seal?

Swankster it took less than an hour and I used I think 3/4 wide but may have been less thickness neoprene tape I picked up at the hardware store. All I can say is ice now last longer than it did in the Ice chest that came in the boat ice will last 2 days vs half day I will take pics and post later today or tomorrow. I bet insulating and sealing the compartment as directed above would make the OE cooler hold ice way better too, since it wold essentially be a double-walled cooler when in the compartment at that point.

These are the pics I promised a while back it was very easy to do and very well worth it. You can see I missed a couple little gaps on that side but the rest of it was covered perfectly I ran out of foam and I figured I could catch that while I was in the boat.

Finally got mine done today. Pic is 75% coated. It took 3 and 1/2 16oz cans to cover 100% and a couple of friends to get the floor out and back in.

What involved in pulling the floor out to do this? How much time did it take with help from friends?

10 deck screws, take off strainer hoses, unplug electrical (mine was 3 connections on starboard side), and remove back lower panel (held on by Christmas tree fasteners). Pretty ease but it is heavy. We chose to open engine hatch, pull up floor and close hatch and carry it off the back.

Whole job took about an hour and 1/2. Floor was out in less than twenty minutes.
