    Ok, you win....

I guess I would take my twin 7000 lb Dexter axle trailer over a triple axle any day. I had your entire G23 and its trailer in dirt in my dump trailer last weekend. I managed to do it on a tandem and still be within all my ratings. (10,000 lbs of dirt and a 4,200 lb trailer) You just need need to have the proper axle.

I have no idea why they are sticking such small axles on these boat trailers. My single axle Ramlin is a 6000lb Dexter axle. 2 of those on your G and you would be fine...

I can understand that. If you are right on the edge of your trucks ability.

Yep and i understand the impressions about it being about bling bling. I had to leave a lot of the story ^^^ out for other reasons. I didn't get it for that, moreso for necessity. There are other things I'd rather spend money on. I know now I don't need a diesel to tow my boat safely.

back to the new Supra... Being 18" longer than a G23... And on obviously as deep... They will be into 9000lbs on their trailers too.

Exactly this, most of these boat trailers are now coming with something like the 5 lug UFP torsion axles which are rated for 3750lbs per axle, the Supra with gas and nothing else is right at that. Also when you get those big wheels with something like the 255/55R18's XL tires a lot of those are rated at something like 2067lbs max load when not used on a passenger car (for some reason the rating goes down when used on a light truck or trailer application) assuming you run them at the 41 or 42 psi recommended.

If you can custom order with a stouter axle and normal heavy duty trailer tires then double axle is fine, but with the way they come equipped it makes a triple makes more sense. The supra claims to be 7000lbs dry on the double axle but would guess that could easily average 8k as towed for most applications.

you are exatly right, the 2 axles were rated at 3750 each... however, the 18" specialty low profile tires are rated at 2700ea at max PSI.

Yep, I got a chance to check out the SE's at worlds as well, they choose well on the tires, didn't care for the trailer though no way to safely climb aboard except the ladder at the front which means lots of traffic over the front vinyl. I noticed that they had a couple hundred pounds of bomb sacks on board mostly on the the port side locker. Liked the flip over rear seat, Nautique could take some pointers on that as well as the 4 racks on the tower. The helm seat was like a giant lazy boy as long as you don't need the booster seat which neither my wife or I cared for although at 6'4" I could see over the windshield without it seems like the floor is very high inside. Speaking of the floor what the heck are they thinking with that awful sticky flooring, doesn't feel good at all under foot. One last thing that Raptor motor seemed absolutely necessary, the SA that they used for the amature groms/women and wakeskate divisions couldn't get out of its own way when they ran it heavy on the first day.

I saw the SE at World's this past weekend. The bow sits very low in the water. I don't know how it was weighted, but I saw pro drivers take water over the bow several times just idling back through their own wake.

                      All--

Today I was able to drive and surf behind the Supra SE450. I was not expecting much but I have to say I was quite impressed.

                      Likes:

*Swell surf system works very well and easy to use. Great surf wake!!
*Fit and finish are very good
*Lots of deep storage on port side coffin locker and rear trunks.
*Coffin locker will allegedly hold a 750 bag and if you can duplicate on starboard side of you remove the cooler.
*VERY quiet inside the boat but when you drop the throttle the engine makes are great throaty sound. Sounds bad a$$
                      *Heated seats standard
                      *Power seat standard
                      *Three zone stereo standard
*LED backlit interior speakers is standard
*Easy to drive and maneuver.....especially for such a large boat.
                      * Seat position and height was very good. Power height adjustments is also nice especially for shorter people including the ladies.
                      * Tall freeboard

                      Dislikes:
*Engine was strong but I did not like how the zero off slowed hold it back when taking off for surfing. It's like the boat is taking it's time to get to 10.8 MPH...but not struggling by any means. I've driven a 13' X-star 7.4 liter with Zero Off and never experienced this.

*Not sure about the new mat they have for the flooring. It's better than carpet but not even close to Decadence mat or Sea Dek.

*There is a great reversible rear seat which is always great. I did not like the small gap between this seat and the cushion to the left and the right. the gap has to be there but if put you knee in between the two of them you'll be skin and bone on the steel or aluminum frame.

Overall I think Supra has put together a very nice boat.
