For those of you who have sold, or are selling your 200V, what are finding for ease of resale, and are you getting near your asking price? I've always had an easy time selling our direct-drive boats, but now my wife wants a 200V for our newly expanded family (prefers wrap around seating). So how hard are these to unload, should one decide it's not the boat for them after a season or two?

I take it you are buying new? I have seen some on sites that seem to never sell, but just this summer a marina in northern Indiana had a used vapor blue and white one that I wanted to go look at. I couldn't get there in time. Sold in a week. From what I see it all depends on location and color scheme of the boat. I think that 200V buyers go for more simple color schemes.

guy down the road had a blue with white tower 200v, sold in 3 days. I didnt even get a chance to look at it. He bought a 2012 210 after selling.

I wonder if a tower is a "must" for resale? I don't want or need one. I agree on "normal" color schemes. I always go red or blue.'08 196LE (previous)

For what it is worth, a Virginia dealer has a 2013 that I would think you could get a great deal on. It's new.

The tower is a must; the market for this boat is as a crossover; it may not excel at any specific function but most buyers will want to be able to ski, surf and wakeboard behind it which means you need the tower. Other than the disappointing removable pylon breakdown that we had two weeks ago, we love the 200v.'13 200V Sport Nautique

I bet a deal could be scored on that boat. The colors are right, but I just personally don't like the Air graphics, tower, and ballast. I'd actually order it with the graphics deleted, then add "Ski Nautique" in chromax.'08 196LE (previous)

Throw resale out the window if you deconstruct it. Sounds like you should probably keep what you have if you don't want a ballasted boat with a tower. If you are concerned with resale you have to do what the majority would do and that is buy it as a standard 200v with the goodies. Of course if you buy it, buy it exactly how you want it and you have every right to do that, but don't be shocked when it's tough to get rid of.

All good points above. Mine's for sale but I've not been pushing it because we have one kid who loves the boat so much, so haven't been aggressive with the price. We are slalom skiers and want to get back to a DD...don't need the jungle gym equipment. (Interested in a trade?) Also, not sure I'm correct on this, but I don't believe the 200v is commanding the premium over the 200DD that I thought it would on resale value based off every boat I've seen advertised. I've seen some sell in a day and others that don't sell...but think that has to do with options and colors/graphics. I also believe you need to buy one of theses boat appropriately optioned. Pylon and tower are must haves...everyone who has called on mine has asked about ballast and the boat's ability to surf and WB.Peace..

The way to solve resale is to buy a pre-depreciated boat. And Sodbuster's is the cleanest, well equipped 200v you'll find.

Yes, all good points. I'm officially talked out of the 200V, unless I hit the lottery and can have both. Sodbuster88 going back to a DD pushed me over the edge, as I see that being me in 2 years. We spent the weekend before last in a 216V, which moved my wife to want a V drive. She'll get over it'08 196LE (previous)
