There was an old thread about this but I don't think there was ever a clear answer. Are there any GOOD coolers that fit in the space under the seat? Igloo changed the dimensions of their 48 qt marine cooler and even that one no longer fits.

Only time I was some what disappointed with it is when I went wheeling with my jeep but I took out my carpet an insulation in the trunk. The floor got wicked hot an melted my ice fast but that was understandable.Currently own

I also use the AO and it works really well. I probably will be upgrading to the new Yeti Bag cooler but it is very pricey. One thing I did that seems to be working really well is I used expanding spray insulation and coated the rear built in cooler with insulation. I also added a small gasket to the lid. It will keep ice for the better part of a day now. Before it wouldn't make it to noon.
Good Luck!

i will echo the AO coolers recommendation but apply it differently:
1) remove the grate for the cooler under the starboard seat. use the former cooler spot for peoples bags and with the grate removed, the seat doesnt need to be lifted. no one has to be interrupted when people need to grab their bags. this leaves the space under the observer seat dedicated for storage.
2) place the 48q AO cooler next driver but fore of the reversible/removable rear facing bench. the bag stays out of the way, and the driver can shift it by hand from port to starboard to port to balance the wake way faster than d!cking with ballast. the driver has access to all the ice cold yoohoo he needs.
enjoy.Last edited by tdc_worm; 10-17-2014, 10:23 PM.

Don't worry about it! Your post/link was great, I've been thinking about doing it to the stern "cooler" on a 230, it's much smaller than the one on your 211, but the concept is the same...2008 230 TE-ZR6
