Regarding prop. The boat is going to be used for 50% cruising/40% surfing/10% wake boarding for now. I plan to sack it decently for surfing (750 port, 600 ski locker, 300ish bow?).

The prop I have on it has a slight bend in one of the blades. I plan on getting the stock prop fixed either way, but will the stock prop be able to carry that much weight, or should I go ahead and replace the prop?

I would've been crapping my drawers the whole way. So chances are I would've left it there until I found a decent trailer. Good luck with the boat though. I hope it works out great for ya

Great find on the boat!! I am in a similar situation, found a great 07 211, but the trailer.... evidently needed some love (not quite as much but...$650 in bearings, hubs, brakes and brake lines later.... we will see if it is happier.

The other guy ended up not showing, so I made the 12 hour round trip yesterday and picked this trailer up for $1200.

awesome!! Glad I could help!! I hope that one is in a little better shape than the first. I know it needed some plywood and carpet, but no metal working as far as I could tell.

I do have one little spot I need to cut out and patch, but it won't be too big of a deal. Mainly needs some spots wire wheeled and painted.

Took the boat to the lake today to change trailers, and went out for a while. I can't quite tell whats going on with the factory ballast. I let it run forever, and the tanks did fill (not sure if full, but they were very heavy.) Never came out overflow, though. Also, when I tried to empty them, the pump ran but I never saw it dumping any water. Ran it on empty the whole way back to the dock (didn't check them there), loaded up and drove home. Checked them at home and they were empty (or close to it). Confusing.

Question on the keypad deal. When I got back home (45 minutes after turning the boat off in the water), I was able to crank the boat without entering the passcode. Is there a time delay before it makes you enter it again or something?

Also, boat has a vibration. I am sure it is due to the prop being bent slightly. Anybody have recommendations?

Did you turn they keypad off after stopping the boat? Key in the passcode and hit stop? If it is still on you will see a green light in the upper right-hand corner.

Good way to drain the battery if left on for a long long time, ask me how I know.

That doesn't sound like a ton of weight. Plus it sounds like you're going to be spending a good amount of time just cruising around. Even with 10 people, it should still get up to surf speed with the stock ACME 644. The ACME 1578 is the popular upgrade if you're running a lot of ballast, but I'm not sure how it would effect the top speed/fuel consumption when you're just cruising. Maybe someone that upgraded to a 1578 could tell you more. I would send the stock prop off to be repaired.

Also, did you turn the bilge/on/off switch to off? Does an 01 have a bilge/on/off switch?

Ahhh. Didn't know I needed to disable the keypad that way. Thanks.

There is a switch for bilge. The bildge works fine.

There is a 3 position switch labeled On, Off, Bilge separate from the keypad. It should be set to On to run the boat. When it is set to Bilge, the bilge pump automatically runs every few minutes to check for water(there is no float switch, the bilge pump runs until the resistance drops when all the water is gone), but everything else has no power. If your boat is sitting in your driveway with the plug out, then you should probably turn the switch to off. This turns off everything. I think the bilge pump will still run occasionally with the keypad off unless you turn the On/Off/Bilge switch to Off.

Sorry if you already knew this. I wasn't sure since if you had turned it to Off, then your keypad would have been turned off also.
