Turns out, the muffler is leaking water out of it. Someone has already done a janky fiberglass repair on it.

That being said,
1. Whats the cost to replace? Where to order?
2. Is it possible to delete the muffler all together, and put a straight piece of pipe in there? Any how to on that?

If you are not comfortable doing fiberglass repair yourself, remove it and bring it to a body shop, would imagine it would only take a skilled glass guy an hour to repair it, so probably 30% the cost of a replacement.

You could definitely eliminate the muffler as well using stainless or copper & wire reinforced hose, neither of which would be cheaper but would certainly make things a bit louder, or in some persons opinions, better.

I second the idea of having it repaired properly. Had it done by my mechanic last year, didn't cot much and worked great all summers. Unless it is so out of sorts that it can't be repaired.

Quick question. Right above the swim platform, there is a stainless steel water hose connection. Can I run the engine out of the water with that or is it just for flushing?

Yes, that connection is for running the motor at idle speed on the trailer as far as I know. I dont think it is designed to support much more, but I'll be darned if I cannot find a word about it in the owner's manuals....there are instructions on how to operate the walk-thur windshield... and the pop-up cleats.. but not a word about the hose connection.

The hose connection is for flushing out the motor which only works with the engine running. The typical water flow GPM of a garden house will not keep up with the draw from the RWP under higher RPM's, so sustained high RPM's can collapse the garden hose possibly starving the impellor of enough water. Little throttle bursts are fine just don't hold it for more then a few seconds.

Next question. Their is a strainer in front of the motor. There is no kind of rubber seal on it and leaking where it threads on. Probably lost by previous owner. Anywhere to order just the seal? If not, where to get a replacement strainer?

Love to hear that at WOT. How temp resistant is that PVC pipe? Will it stand up to the exhaust temps?

Winnelson, my local plumbing store, said it's rated for 200 degrees, I believe. For anybody doing this, make sure you get solid PVC and not foam core drain PVC.

Is it just an illusion in the video or is your exhaust missing the flapper? If it is missing I would get that replaced ASAP.
