Next little thing I need to address. On the back, where you would step off the dock into the boat, there are some spider cracks on both sides. I would like to cover that out with some "step pads". I love the look of the faux-teak from seadeck, but they don't sell it by the sheet, and even if they did I'm sure I could not afford it. What other products should I look at? I think I would like something in tan but that had some black mixed in.

I need to post some updated pics. Working on stereo stuff right now, and just ordered new seat sliders.

Question- My boat had no radio in it when I got it, just a hole in the side panel. No mounts or anything. Can anybody describe or have pictures of how it was mounted factory? Do I just need a marine "bubble cover" to install it? (I have it ordered but it isn't here yet.)

It looks to be a bit bigger than a single din hole, but I was waiting on the cover to check it out. I just picked up an alpine head unit today.

Time for some updates. I can't get the multi-quote to work quiet right, so there will be a few posts. First, a few pics.

The other guy ended up not showing, so I made the 12 hour round trip yesterday and picked this trailer up for $1200.

I ended up getting screwed on this deal. The trailer didn't look so bad in person with no boat on it. Looked like a few rusted spots that needed some attention. I sure wish I would have known what to look for. Trailer is junk, With the boat on it, looking from the side, the trailer bends like a smily face. Where both the frame rails turn in to come together, it starts bending there. This causes the nose of the boat to fall down below the bow catcher. Also, the frame rails are bowing apart under the weight of the boat. It just sucks all around, I wasted a day and fuel to go to jacksonville, and I have a couple hundred dollars in trailer parts/scrap metal to show for it. I'm now on the hunt for a NICE tandem axle trailer. Again.

Love to hear that at WOT. How temp resistant is that PVC pipe? Will it stand up to the exhaust temps?

I have forgotten to take a video, but I will try to remember next week. The sound is great. Not too loud at all. Just a nice deep rumble.

Went out last year with it "straight piped" a few times. Worked great. We have been out about 6 weekends so far this season with no problems until yesterday. The boat was idling and all of a sudden it sputtered and died. I knew it wasn't out of fuel and I could smell a lot of fumes. Opened the back hatch and realized the PCV had came loose from the boot that connects to the outlet in the hull. Started the bilge while I cleaned out the locker, then a few minutes with a flathead and it was fixed better than it was before. I originally double hose clamped it but I think that one of the hose clamps was too far towards the back of the boat and was actually pushing the pvc out of the boot. It gave the girls a good break to swim, and we played the rest of the day no problem. About 21 hours on the set up so far.

Is it just an illusion in the video or is your exhaust missing the flapper? If it is missing I would get that replaced ASAP.

See above^. Good thing the flapper was there, or I would have sank boat yesterday. In case anybody was wondering, not a DROP of water was coming through the port in the hull with the flapper on it.

Spent way too much time getting stereo in. Added another battery, battery selector switch, about 50' of 0 gauge power wire, huge 4 channel polk amp to run 8 Polk 6.5's, and a 2 channel polk amp to run a Rockford P3 12. Sub and amp match up great, 500w at 4 ohms with a class D amp sounds very good and doesn't tax the charging system very hard at all.

Also got the seat sliders put in. Should have done it sooner. No more rust flakes in the boat and the seat actually moves back and forth now.

And. Here we are. I intend to spend the winter tinkering and getting the boat ready for the spring/summer. Some things I know the boat will need-

1. The prop has the tip of one of the blades bent pretty good. I'm not opposed to buying a new prop for the boat if there is something that is greatly better (the boat will be used mostly for surfing but a little wake boarding will happen), but if they aren't a huge improvement over stock, I will just get this one fixed.

Replaced the prop with an Acme 644. Much better, no more vibes, and still runs 43ish per the GPS

Cool that you updated. I hope this has been a labor of love...sucks to be chasing down "deals" only to find its not what it seems to be.
What is your surf set up as far as ballast goes?
