    wakesurf with nautique 211 crossover

    Hi,
    Does anyone know the weight configuration for a nice formed wake behind the 211 crossover cause at the moment with all the weight at the back on one side makes the wake quite fluffy.

    Is it bad for the engine? I run it in 11 miles about 3000 rpms.

    Need weight up front and slow it down to about 10-10.4 depending on how much weight you have. On our crossover we ran about a 75-25 rear to front ratio.

      On the front to one side or in the middle?
      Do you drive it in a straight line or in a curve?

        When weighted as follows, know that the boat handling suffers and likelihood of taking water over the bow increases.
        Port side surf:
        Belly and port tanks full. 350 pound fat sac on the port walk thru; 370 pound fat sac under the bench seat (FH makes one that is 10" tall and will fit with the bench seat closed); 350 pound fat sac on the floor of the bow. Speed about 10.5

          The bow weight is not as important to be side loaded, but it helps. We had two 150 pound fly high sacs that we used in the bow.

          We had a 400 pound sac in port storage and a 400 pound in the transom walk through, port stock ballast full and stock bow ballast full with the 300 pounds of bags in the bow on port side seat. The more weight up front the cleaner and longer the wave will get. It will also allow you to slow down to 10.4-10.6 and get a real nice clean wave. Loading the entire length of the surf side actually makes it easier to drive when compared to rear corner weighted.

          You should not have to drive with a turn, straight line should do it.

            Thanks guys, The weight I have been using is definitely less.
            I have taken out the ballasts cause I had some engine issues cause its a commercial boat and im just using cans full of water.
            Is the above descriptions including people in the boat and if yes how many.

              for my description, 2 adults 2 kids, typically. If I had 6 or more, I would not put a sac in the bow and might just put less under the bench seat. I would still run the sac over the aft ballast tank . . .
