    G23 competion?

It was only a matter of time until someone came up with some real G competition. Is this it? Specs are on par with the G23, although it is being advertised as a surf boat.

Also, I noticed they too are going to 2:1 gear reduction.

If it's only a surf boat then no competition. Also it doesn't appear to have as nice a setup inside as the g does with all the rear facing seating options. I wonder to does it have the nice in floor cooler and batter storage like a g.

Any word on the wake of the x20?

The rear lounge seats are an option. You can have a sunpad/more storage if you want. (and its cheaper). One of the videos has a lot of wakeboard footage, and the wake looks really good. This thing is heavy. Full stock ballast + Fuel + gear, is gonna put this thing at 9k on the water. I actually hate an in floor cooler...... Although, an under seat cooler has drawbacks too. I think I would still rather an under seat cooler. The X20 wake reviews, that I have seen, say that it is excellent.

Wayward what vid are u talking about? The one with the hot mom and kids in the boat? That hardly showed any of the wake and was mostly doubles. And if u paused in the few it did show that wake looks like it's on the verge of major fold over crazy lip stuff! No thanks!

        Post the vid here.

That video was actually comical. Just shows how good the G23 is and still has no competition what so ever.

Conditions weren't super optimal, and it does look to be on the verge of fold over..... However, it is only on the verge, its not rolled over. A lot of riders love that lip...... Especially if they are used to riding something like a 210, or 230 wake. I actually like that type of wake. Some don't though I guess. Haha, ya, it was the one with the hot mom. Watched the Zane intro video too. Not that it added much....

"The most impressive and desired 23 ft boat on the market" - Zane Schwenk

They're obviously gunning for the G23 buyers, perhaps with a bias towards surf, but there is a lot of wakeboarding in there also.

Is it just me or is Hot mom WAY sexier than the lines on that boat???? I find it almost hard to look at. I want to say it will get better looking after seeing it a bunch....but I said that about the XStar and I just don't see it. I think they can do better with the profile of the sides and top.

I watched the video it looks like the driver has to almost stand up to see over the bow because the nose is so far up At 507 it looks like the platform is dragging the water . At 657 is shows the boat stopped the platform is completely under water . How much weight does it need to make a wake? I am no fan of MC I don't like the way the company does business that extends to the dealers and most of the owners . Even if they somehow managed to build the best boat in the world it wouldn't change the attitude they have.

I had a hard time determining if they were marketing a boat or a vacation spot. Seemed there was more footage of the scenic environment and ocean surfing than of the boat.

Cool video though, would love to take a trip to wherever they filmed it.

Wow, that video is awful! If one didn't know better, they'd never know it was to market a boat. To me, it appears they're marketing it as a surf boat. I question if wake surfing has enough staying power as a sport to warrant building dedicated boats? Not bashing it, just curious. But I suppose, if people will buy them, they will build them regardless future resale value. Not a lot of demand out there now for Barefoot 200's. Good thing they didn't make a "Kneeboard 190" back in the 80's.

I agree. I don't understand the method of marketing. I don't know for sure, but I think that MC is going after the IO market, not so much the sport market. They are building boats to party on and you can surf it really easily as well. I just don't care for their products, but it could just be my Nautique loyalty doing that to me.

Things may be different in the great white north, but wakesurfing has all but taken over in TX, where we can ride 10 months out of the year without a wetsuit, and 12 with. I would suspect that the warmer states drive demand. If you want to long line, you either get a sea doo and head where the boats can't go to skate, or you head to the cable park. on any given day on Lake Austin, I can show you 15 G23s wakesurfing to one actually
wakeboarding...and that doesn't include the other brands. last weekend I was out at 7am to fella plowing glass w/ a G23 and wakesurfing through the butter....
