Nautique 210 versus Mastercraft X-10 - Which is Better?

I am in the market to purchase a new boat and I have done extensive research comparing the Nautique 210 versus the Mastercraft X-10. Also in consideration is the Nautique 230 and Mastercraft X-30. I am looking for a boat that can do all the disciplines (slalom ski, barefoot off boom, wakeboard, & surf). I would welcome feedback from the forum to help me with this decision. Here are my thoughts regarding the boats:

    WAKEBOARD WAKE
    210 Incredible pop.
    X-10 Disappointing intermediate wake.
    WATERSKI WAKE
210 Large wake for slalom skiing - concerning.
X-10 Hardly a wake. Pretty amazing for a 4,500 pound boat.
    SURF WAKE
    210 Respectable wake.
X-10 Large wake. Good shape. NSS technology a plus.
    SURF TECHNOLOGY
210 NSS conforms to the contour of the boat. Uniform surf wake.
X-10 Just a lever plate that pushes down on the rear of the boat.
    FIT & FINISH
210 Somewhat basic in comparison to the X-10
X-10 Clean lines. Well thoughtout. Rear seat foldable option.
    CONTROLS/ ELECTRONICS
210 Possible failure rate since everything is contained in one screen.
X-10 Has a screen as well, but there are back-up gauges for everything.

Assuming you are not comparing the X2 because you want a larger boat? I have been comparing the 210 to the X2 - maybe the best apples to apples comparison is the X10. Dont have enough knowledge yet but your comparisons above seem on target - another thought for compare is the ease of use in setting your wakes - heard the Gen 2 is really user friendly.

We used a 2014 Nautique 210 as a demo for a part of this summer and it really has a amazing surf wake. Setup with the extra ballast and NSS it is more than respectable, it is down right AWESOME.

^^ agree with erkoehler-I couldn't ask for a better surf wake with my 2014 210.....push, size, and shape

I believe the problem in comparing those two boats is that you are comparing one that is built for wake and one that built for wakeless. If you want a boat that is great at slalom but still can surf and wakeboard ok, look at the 200.
          http://www.nautique.com/models/sport-nautique-200/

If you want a boat that has a great wake (both surf and wakeboard) but slaloms ok if you put all weight in the nose, look at the 210.

I have only seen a few posts of issues with the Linc system in Nautiques. However I do not own a linc system boat so I can not comment on their reliability.

That's better, you really cannot compare the 2 wakes. The 210 is leaps and bounds ahead of the x-10 in this category.

I ski behind my 210 , I was coming off a Moomba outback v. I find that the Salom wake is not bad at all. I figured that if I could spend 80 k on a boat then I can afford to get a new ski. I bought a softer flex ski (ho freeride) . It make a huge difference. Now I love skiing again and have a blast behind the 210. I was concerned about the Salom wake and I have no regrets.
                In fact I will sell you my 2013 210 so I can get a 2015 210.

I would strongly disagree, I thought they were both very good surf wakes. There was no "leaps and bounds", that is for sure. Surf wakes are VERY comparable. Wakeboard wakes couldn't be more different between the two.... One is VERY vert, and one is not. Not sure which I preferred. Both were nice, but way different.

210 surf wave is heads and shoulders above the x10. ive spent lots of time behind both. 210 wave is so much more powerful and is way, way easier to dial in. you obviously havent surfed the new age 210 if you call it "respectible" that wave is outstanding.

The 2014 210 with NSS is hard to beat in the 21ft category. The x10 is no slouch in surf comparison, but the 210 has a much better pro caliber wake. Its nice solid and poppy. The x10 just doesn't have the kick.

I feel the x10 has a bit more of luxurious look and feel. It gets way more double takes at the styling I am sure. The JL Audio in the MC is also something to consider in the mix. As far as eyes turning on the water the MC gets that I think way more than Nautique. To me the 2014 210 is all about class. It's function and simple styling that will last a lifetime. I have no experience with the 2014 or 15 Mc Screens on a regular basis , but I will tell you previously LINC is hands down better than any MC system.

The ski wake on the X10 is definitely flatter than the 210. I also feel the x10 has more useable storage and bow room.

All in all if Watersports (wakeboarding and surfing) are you're priority than 210 all day long. The biggest bonus is that the 210 doesn't need nearly as much weight to get the surf wake and wakeboarding wake macking as the x10 does.

If skiing and overall looks (bling and styling) take priority X10 all the way.
