    Decal Suggestions?

I'm currently restoring a new-to-me (and my first ski/wakeboard boat) 2007 SANTE 220. I have stripped the boat to a bare hull, wet sanded all of the oxidation and light scratches, and repaired all of gouges in the gel coat. One final buff, new monkey fuzz, and the new motor will go in. I'm contemplating a couple different designs

Super Air Nautique" design with badge and background scribbles (I would buy the "super" separate from the decal listed in the link) http://www.nautiqueparts.com/decalhu...axwshield.aspx

A basic "Super Air Nautique" without anything else. http://www.nautiqueparts.com/decalsu...ome255x69.aspx

I think I'm limited in decal design because of the white strip below the rub rail, as a decal that crosses from the blue, through the white, and above the rub rail may look odd. I'm not worried about being "true" to the boat - any Nautique decal scheme is on the table. Any thoughts from those who have seen quite a few more Nautiques than me?

I would go with the simple Chromax Super Air and be done. The colors and lines of that boat are classy, I would not muck it up with a lot of decal.

Boat looks great, do tell though, why does an 07' need a new motor?? Do you have a tower??

You may want to give Zach a call at N3 also, he had a big sale going on of leftover items in stock and they do quite a bit of specialized and one-off stuff there.

I bought the boat as a complete project, with the knowledge that it had a blown motor. Turns out the block was fine (the water pump had locked up), but the heads had hairline cracks (found upon professional cleaning to rebuild). The marine heads/gaskets were expensive, and it made financial sense to spend a little more and buy a crate motor (with a 2 year warranty). I have literally had to replace or rebuild every single part on this boat (but its still entirely worth it given the purchase price). I have removed the tower so to clean/polish and to make it easier to sand/buff on the boat. I really want to install a FCT5, but that may have to wait until next winter! I will give Zach a call to see what they have.

On a side note - if anyone knows anywhere else to get a cheap motor/warming tray for a 220 (I know NautiqueParts sells them) I'm all ears!

            Go with this look: https://www.facebook.com/36521545692...type=3&theater

            Order decals here: http://www.nautiqueparts.com/decalhu...1998-1999.aspx

You may not like this look, but I have always like the early decals for the Air Nautique

I like that first chromax look. Simple and kind of incorporates the older logo with a newer style.

Thanks for the input - I am looking at the "badge" emblem/design above, but in chromax. I think I will forget the background scribbles.
