    Up & DOWN 2002 SANTE

Would like to know the ways you put your tower up or down one person method if that can be done on a 2002 SANTE stock tower.
    Thanks,Ron

I haven't figured that out in three years. The bow filler helps for sure, but still need a balancer to hold it while I move to the cockpit. If you figure out, please share.

Yes it takes 2,,,get it to top center then someone to let it down. I have tried putting a pulley at stern or bow with a line to the tower but don't recommend it because when the tower starts downward it loses the upper pull and result in a free fall the remaining distance. Thought about a anchor point on my garage to put the pulley to get more of a upward holding position of the tower. Anyway Im sure someone will chime in here with a trick they use.

I can do my 2005 SV211 tower by myself if I pull the tower speakers off first. I pop it free then stand on one side of the deck, put one foot on the bottom tower support hoop and push the top up to center, re-position myself with both feet on the front deck, then walk it down. It's a little sketchy but I use the tower to help me balance as I walk it over. I thought tried to do it with the speakers on and chickened out as I imagined everything getting out of hand and crashing down through the top deck.

Yes that's me, Chicken. haven't tried without speakers, though.

Factory FCT on my 05' 206 is no problem by myself, if the speakers are on it's definitely harder but still very doable. I have pipe insulation cut to fit my bow grab rails (where the tower rests) to create a cushion between.

If the issue is height at the pivot point perhaps adding a rope to the front cross bar which you could pull from standing in the bow or as another option through the front lifting ring.

This method can still get sketchy so be careful especially with heavy speakers. Take a ski or wake handle with the traditional short leader line. Loop the line around the tow point on the tower and throw the handle over the tower towards the bow. Stand under the tower with the handle in your hands with palms facing down. Slowly walk/push forward and the tower will start to pivot. Once it swings over the top you will be in position to do an arm curling motion and slowly lower it down. It takes a little practice and depending on your height you may need to experiment with the rope length.

I may be missing something, but I've never had an issue with the tower on my 2003. I have to lower/raise it every time it leaves the garage. It is a bit more difficult now that I have 2 Rev410s hanging from the tower, but I just have to be more careful at the tipping point. I will raise it from a lowered position by standing on the bow seats and picking it up. Once it gets to the highest point there is a balancing act of sorts while I re-position from facing the stern to facing the bow. I then give the tower a slight nudge and get ready to catch/support the weight of the tower coming down before it hits the lower legs. Going from raised to lowered is much the same, but catching it after the tipping point is easier.

I feel like being taller might help a lot. I'm 6' and can walk it up and down fairly easily without needing to stand on the bow seats. With speakers on it gets a bit heavy.

Yeah, I'm 6' as well, on mine, after tipping up, the tower is still out of reach even standing on the bow filler cushion. My son has to stand on observer seat and balance the tower from the side going up and down while I move from the drivers seat to bow and vice versa. The pro 80's aren't helping matters either! When at highest point, the tower is nearly 8' from floor of boat. Definitely out of reach.

Same for me. Being taller must be an advantage here. Too bad its a disadvantage for wakeboarding....

I have to agree on my 01. Being 6'3 I am able to raise and lower by myself. A little heavier with speakers but still not bad. Yeah wish I was shorter when trying tricks boarding that is for sure.

Well Im not tall enough to get the tower over high center so I think I will make something to stand on in the walk through area. Just would be nice to getter up and down by myself.
