By way of introduction, I think I am very close to pulling the trigger on a G23. I have owned 4 boats, a Malibu, Mastercraft, and 2 Tiges. I have been around these discussion boards plenty, but I may be making the leap to a G23. I was able to test drive one, and found it to be superior to the new X46 and 2015 Malibu 23LSV that I also drove. I have a local dealer to work with, and the others are 120-300 miles away, so that is a factor too.
It is a long story that I won't get into, but I also want to protect myself against problems selling it down the road. The color should look nice for me to enjoy, but appeal to a broad variety of buyers if it needs to go into the used market sooner than I have planned.
They call it 'resale red' for a reason. And of course, I am partial to the color. A google search for G23 showed lots of boats, but not one like this. For me, color isn't a deal breaker. I love me some metalflake in the gel coat, but wonder how that affects resale.
I am sure I will get all sorts of opinions, but is there any strong objection to this color scheme? The boat builder does not allow the red to be metal flake in this location, so that is a bummer, but I suppose I really don't want a metal flake swimstep.
