If your name is Tall Red Rider I'm thinking you need a red boat.
I'm a fan of the CC red metal flake even though I went with Orange Metal Flake.
It really has been painful the last few years being the red rider with a black boat. I currently have a black Malibu 247. So I don't want to do that again.
You will likely need to put a drop pole on the Z5 Cargo to clear the Rev-10. They can be made or purchased.
So the whole bimini would have to drop down even lower, right? I already am loving the headroom of the standard bimini and the Z5 is a fair amount lower, so putting it even lower might not excite me. I will be considering it.
With the massive storage of the G23, I am thinking that needing the Z5 to store stuff is sort of a moot point, isn't it? Has anyone sewn in surfboard pockets onto their standard bimini, just to put a surf or wakeboard up there?
Here is what I did to my current boat:

On the 230 I did with 2 pair rev-10. One pair went in the factory lower locations and one pair on the rear tube not in the upper factory spots. The rear bimini supports need to be extended only a couple of inches.

My wife has made a few sets of surf pockets for different boats yours looks like they are installed backwards ? The first prototype pockets were open in the front the wind got under the boards and they were rising up off the bimini . Closing the front of the pocket cured the problem.
I have a strap on the front of the boards that keeps them down nicely. Without the strap, the wind would be a problem. I wanted to go from the rear, but my tower speakers and bimini are only about 1 inch apart, so they wouldn't fit. I think I would not have to do a strap at all if I were able to get them in from the rear.
Aren't you a tall guy? I loved the Z5 BUT on a G they reduce the amount of headroom. I wanted the Z5 initially but came to the conclusion that the reduction of headroom was not worth it.
