If, when you are driving without an observer, move over to the edge of the observer seat. It is amazing how that small weight shift changes the wake top edges (they are perfectly even).
However, you would think that by filling the port ballast tank you could accomplish the same thing! It doesn't, at least that what I have observed. It seems the more forward the weight is, the more of an effect it has on wake shape/balance.

I'm confused I would think the torque from the prop spinning to the right would make the right side of the boat tilt more into the water, while a left hand rotation would do the opposite and balance the weight out?

NSV. You got me. Not sure what the story is. I have to call CC today on another matter, so I'll ask and report back here.

ballast tank on a 206 is one tank across the back, no port and starboard tanks

It seems to me that the closed bow 196 is less sensitive to weight distribution. Anyone else experience this?

A prop spinning to the right would cause the boat to attempt to spin left or counterclockwise which I think means the passenger side or left side would tilt more into the water thereby counteracting the weight of the driver.

My weight distribution test this weekend. 34mph driver and observer of equil weight. I put 2 -25lb shot bags between driver seat and side of boat, boat was perfectly leval. driver alone (175lbs) boat is neutral weight not needed. I guess this post is thread jacking sorry

Back to the OT, I really like 28 off when I'm skiing at 32 MPH. 22 off has a bit of a kicker at that speed, the hardest of the big 3 in this market space (TT197 and RLXi) but it's nothing that should bother anyone who can keep their ski on edge like it's supposed to be anyways.

Love 15 off by the way on the 206. Very soft and IMHO, as soft as the 196 15 off. 22off is a bit of a beast but no worse that my 99SNOB. I haven't skied the TT197 or RLXi at 22off--just at 15off.

skied them both at 22 off and they're a bit softer. Inside of 22 off, it's anyone ball game.

I can live with that. In fact, I can't wait for the 22off bump to become a problem on my horizon.
